Localization Legend "Supper the Subtitler" has "joined the club" in being targeted for CD-pressings by bootleg master Tobias/PCEWorks! His projects like Private Eyedol, Galaxy Fräulein Yuna 1 & 2, etc. are now being sold on Chinese factory-pressed CDROMs...

Does that include shipping to Canada?
#5
Are they going to sell any more?
#6
I just checked. The switch sits on the AV port side about a half inch in front of the AV port.
#7
Thanks for the quick response. I'll check tomorrow report back.
#8
Nice. What would the shipping cost to Canada?

Also my CGX is region modded. Will that cause a problem?

Quote from: Nulltard on 07/26/2014, 10:17 PMDude... did you see the my special, special video?  Given your avatar, I feel that you'd like it!
I have no idea what you mean but I'd like to know!
#10
Would this work with a coregrafx? Will the regular composite out still function?
#11
I love Fantasy Zone. Count me in :-)

Looking for some Megaman games (NES).

Looking for 1 and 3-6 :)

Quote from: johnnykonami on 03/27/2014, 07:00 PMThe boss music almost made me do a spit take!  That's the closest they could get it??
I know, I thought the same thing. The actual boss music is great. This is just like:

boo-wa-doo, BOO-WA-DOO. boo-wa-doo, BOO-WA-DOO
#15
Hey thanks for the raffle. My PCE is played weekly and is region modded for hucards :-)
#17
Where in Canada are you shipping from?

What do the GB, GBA and DS cases look like?
#18
A little ugly but neat. Is it expensive?
#19
Something good about the n64? Easy. Tetrisphere is exclusive to the system and is a truly excellent puzzler.

Quote from: guest on 10/18/2013, 09:25 AMHe must just like the pic, as nobody is a big fan of Ballistix.
I played this for the first time today and had NO IDEA of what was going on.

I only use my phone or work. Every time it goes off I get pissy.

If you're like me, don't use PCE sounds as a ringer because you'll start to hate the ring. I lost many favourite songs that way.
#22
Looking to buy the base and one/two controllers.

I'm willing to spend a reasonable amount but nothing insane.

Must work perfectly and be in good condition.

I wanted to give some feedback in this thread. I had turbokon do some work to my PCE Duo.

In particular he did the following:
  • Install component video output - using built-in component jacks
  • Install region mod with rocker switch
  • Install power LED
  • Do complete cap replacement
The work turned out wonderfully. My duo had terrible audio issues, and had to warm up before I would get any CD audio. Now it works 100%. The region mod works perfectly too.

The video output is amazing. It simply can't compare to stock composite. The video is just as clear as using an emulator!

The picture quality below isn't perfect since I took the pictures with my phone. The third picture (NEC/Hudson) really shows how incredibly clear the picture quality is. The middle photo shows the component jacks (in the back) and the power LED.

A redhead fiddling with a Turbo Express. Good video.

It'd be fun playing this on the game pad. Like a big TE. :)
#28
Hey enter me please for pac land. I love the Dream cast second to the PC engine. I've never had Chicago style pizza but I'm sure its good :)

Check out the Keith Courage figure in this video.

I'm excited about this. I hope it lives us to expectations.

I won't lie though, I'm expecting the wireless controllers to suck.

Wow what an investment... you know, for the future
#32
I think most Canadians have reasonable expectations when it comes to shipping. We know that parcels from the USA are slow and expensive. It is what it is.

What's funny is that I can get parcels from the UK or China faster than the USA. I've never figured that one out.
#33
Whats on the top right?
#34
Amen. I think its because thy have to go to thee post office?  I dunno.

I got a shell for my Turbo Everdrive.

I found them at the assembler games forum. The user BuffaloWing made a 3D printed one and listed it for sale using a company called shapeways.

I attached it to the TE using a very small amount of clear caulk and it's rock solid!

The micro SD slot, region switch and reset switch all work perfectly :)

Pro: it's awesome
Con: it's expensive, at about $20. Also I got dinged with $13 in duty charges on top of that!

My wife is going to make me a sticker which I'll use as a label for the top of it.

edit: pictures on how to adhere it to the TE can be seen here. His is a little different as mine has posts which go into the screw holes. His doesn't, so mine probably fits a little better.

Adventure. I like the music and bosses more.
#40
This is neat but the dip switches are ugly as sin. Too bad he didn't use a nice switch.
#41
I'm stoked for this. I loved plugging my PSP go into a cradle, hooking it to a TV and controlling it with a dalshock 3. To me this is the same thing, only newer :)

I wonder if you could use that to make an awesome home made PCE LT.

That would be epic!

I decided to put together a collection of good TG16 reviews/retrospectives on youtube. :)

I don't intend to include ALL youtube videos related to the TG16. I don't intend to include walkthoughs, collection videos, pick ups/finds, gameplay videos or just boring/low quality videos. Only videos that are informative, well put together and/or just fun to watch. Feel free to contribute. I'll edit this post with videos that people post below.

This list is organized alphabetically by author. The videos for each author are not organized in any way.

Nice CGR video about the CGFX.
I like the end - (spoiler): I LOVE THE PC ENGINE

Also, I didn't know you could use a Gen 1 Genesis AC adapter/video cables for a CGFX.

edit: Apparently he also reviewed Final Soldier (

Are those just tg16 cards with crappy stickers poorly stuck on the front and back? Neat, I love it. Did they achieve any success in Korea?

I'd like a God mode only sequel. Basically the opposite of Act raiser 2.

Imagine a SFX with playing a cd-rom game that takes advantage on the arcade card too. Would be great.

Imagine how great those SNK fighters would have turned out if they were designed for SFX not PCE.
