I found the problem!  :D

i am using one of those multi-voltage power supplies, with the slider switch that lets you select 2/4/6/9/12volts.

i had it set to low  #-o. once i notched it up a rung the sound and vision in cyber core cleared right up.

now does anyone think that increasing the voltage could be an issue?  :-k

Quote from: Duo_R on 02/06/2009, 04:13 AMhave not played that one so cannot comment on the game in particular. Every game I have played in RGB (component) works just fine however. It could be that the RGB lines do not have resistors which can send too much voltage in the signal lines (some TV's don't like that). I noticed before putting the resistors on my custom cable that some games looked very funky before I put those in.
thanks Duo_R!

i am hoping that its not a dodgy mod! my mod is one which replaces the TV out with a mini-DIN socket.

i assume that your video was washed out or the contrast was wrong. my problem effects sound (most notably) as well as video. the colours are fine but as i say there are faint horizontal bands propagating from bottom to top, most noticeable when playing the game.

Hi all!

i am new to the pc engine and have a problem with cyber core. my pc engine has an RGB mod but i only use the composite out for video. When i play cyber core i notice a buzz over any background sound - when the sound stops so does the buzz (when theres silence there is no buzz). The video also has slight horizontal waves of interference across it, nothing major but still annoying. is this normal?

however, both image flight and final soldier play perfectly.

i have cleaned the contacts on the hucard. i also tried cyber core in an emulator and it doesnt have this 'buzz' or interference.

please help a proud new pc engine owner!
