I also read a similar report and that NEC HE had problems synchronizing the CD music with the Hucard. It is unfortunate and the double CD case that SFII' came in would have been perfect for a Hucard + CD combo.

Quote from: Duo_R on 04/06/2009, 01:05 AMI read an article in VG"&CE back in the day about it originally being planned to be the first combo Hucard / CD-Rom game. It was going to use CD for arcade perfect sound. Obviously it got scrapped and probably for good reasons

[Photograph Boy] (Gekisha Boy) is absolutely correct.

I could just imagine the legal nightmare NEC/TTI would have faced if they had tried to bring this game to the US.

Wow! that was a lucky guess.
Here's an easy one.

I like the bright, colorful graphics of the PC engine version. I don't really care for the more neutral colors of the SNES version.

Dynastic Hero??

It'll be great if we could have multiplayer online gaming with Turbografx/PC Engine games, especially Bomberman '94. Better yet, Sega Saturn Bomberman = 8 player mayhem!!!!

I found a nice little site http://2dfighter.com/ where you can play versus other peeps. I'm sure there's people here who like old schoool gaming. you can usually find me in the Puzzle Fighter room under the name Crayon.

That's a great deal. I bought it when it first came out at msrp. If I had only waited 15 years I could have paid a lot less.

It looks like a ripoff of the Kisado converter. I've used other converters before and the success rate is always questionable. They're rarely worth the money that's charged for them. I don't know how much they go for now, but  get a Kisado converter if you can find it a good price or buy a japanese system. I bought my Kisado converters almost 15 ago and they still work today.

Visiting a video game tournament many years ago. X-Arcade was there showing off their joysticks. They were hooked up to various video game systems and the game was street fighter 2 or 3 (don't remember). I could not, no matter how hard I tried, throw a single fireball. It was 2-player joystick, so I decided to try the 2nd player joystick. Same results. I muttered really loud, "I can't even do a fireball on this joystick, it sucks!!" so that the X-Arcade people heard me.

I currently have a joystick from http://www.massystems.com/ which works for Neo Geo, Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, and Playstation (with an adaptor for use on my X-Box). You can specify the layout of your joystick, if you want convex or concave buttons, etc. It's a wonderful, sturdy joystick. Heavy as hell but it feels and performs like an arcade joystick. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it was well worth the money for me.

I would have loved it if:

Westwood Associates released Eye of the Beholder
Cinemaware released Defender of the Crown
ICOM Simulations released Shadowgate 1, Uninvited, Deja Vu 1 and 2
Accolade released Star Control 2
Data East released Bad Dudes and Heavy Barrel
Konami released Yie Ar Kung Fu, Castlevania 1 2 & 3, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game
Namco released Rolling Thunde 1 & 2
Taito released Rastan 1
Tengen released Gauntlet

Many of these games were released on the NES, with a few being released on the Genesis, and Rastan was released on the Sega Master System. I'm not a programmer but I don't think it would have been difficult for many of these companies to make a Turbografx/PC Engine port of these games (especially the ones that were released on the 8-bit systems)

Is it a Tengai Makyou game?

3. Dragon Egg
4. Gomola Speed
5. Mr. Heli
6. Shinobi
7. Volfied
8. Dragon Saber
9. Final Soldier
10. Operation Wolf

Field Thunder and Full Fire (Homing Thunder) for most of the game. I'm too lazy to aim at the enemies.
