Ark and I removed the sales function fro the Turbo Town group in hopes that half of the idiots who joined just to post something for sale would leave. Made a pseudo/group called The Marketplace and told them all to go there.  I wish we could get more ppl in there just talking about the games themselves and what they like about them, sadly I'm starting to think that most of the ppl interested in Turbo now are just interested in gains and not actually enjoying the art of the game itself (music, graphics, programming, ect) :\

For all the anti-Facebook old farts, there is a new arkanoid port on hucard. You'll have to buy it though, no rom.

There's been an Arkanoid port for PC Engine with mouse support for like 20 years. Hopefully someone other than the authors isn't just slapping it on a HuCard for an easy profit.


Edit: just did a quick search to see if I could find that Arkanoid HuCard. Came across a PC Engine homebrew group. One of the recent posts asked:

That's some interesting info, thanks BT. Had no idea a previous Arkanoid port existed.

It should be in "Turbo Reproductions"...you have to join in order to see the pics. No mouse support, and the weirdest thing is that the hucard has a physical switch to change the number of lives.

Does anyone know who Zach Spears is, on pcefx at least? He runs Turbo Town along with Arkhan.

I'm Zach. I started Turbo Town (formerly TurboGrafx 16 and PC Engine Fans) I regret half the things that happen in that group, but we are starting to attempt to separate the wheat from the chaff and get things back to normal. I'm considering ending the sales function of the group, since most new people only seem to be interested in joining only to sell things and then are never heard from again, or cease to participate, thus leading to their eventual dismissal.

I bought one, and I think the level of the music is actually complimentary to the sound effects now as opposed to before where the BGM sounded like it was hiding "behind" the SFX. The two actually compliment each other more than before. I've listened to it on a small CRT and also running through my Pioneer RX-721

I don't wish death on anyone, Sparky. That being said, I really do think it's just another thing you are saying for attention and sympathy so people will turn the other cheek while you badmouth them. I've heard you say it before.  I've had a wife leave me and take my daughter from me and I didn't get to see her until she was 15 years old. I understand that kind of situation is hard. But it doesn't give you an excuse to pick a random person and start shit with them.  Most people who know me, and have actually taken the time to talk to me, generally like me. All these things that you say I am, are figments of your imagination because you feel like you need somebody to hate and rage on. You've never even tried to have a normal conversation with me, you jump on online, start a conversation out normally, then 3 sentences in start bad mouthing me, calling me names and try to provoke me. It's literally verging on the edge of stalker shit. It's painfully obvious and you make yourself look foolish by doing it. It's no coincidence that I'm not the only one who has spoken up about you doing this. You need to get some help. Like, now. It sucks because we could have been friends if you just hadn't targeted me out of the blue like some maniac with accusations and trying to start a fight, which if you lived nearby you would utterly lose within seconds. I'm washing my hands of you at this point. I hope you get some help because there are people who genuinely seem to care about you and have nice things to say about you. I just dont have any because you haven't given me anything nice to say.

I don't think my group on fb is anything special, and it shows that you have no clue what you are talking about as to the reasons why that group was started in the first place. Remember, the people you are calling "friends" are the same ones you talk shit about behind their backs and try to instigate fights with. I legit tried to forgive you for harassing me, tried to be nice and sensitive to your "situation" which you keep going on about for sympathy. Then you straight up jumped bad on me like a fool. You really made yourself look foolish and the really sad thing is that you just have no clue. But now it's on. You want an enemy, you've earned one. I'm sure I'm not the only one, given your "situation" and how you seem to relish in being an "angry drunk". Guess what? Some of us don't have to get drunk to say whats on our minds. CIB is a little confusing for TG16 stuff since some people think of it as Cart (or whatever), Instructions, Box when it's really Complete In Box, which would include the outer cardboard box for these particular games.
