Quote from: Marll on 02/15/2011, 07:03 PMI am 99% sure that this is a Sparky label that someone put on a KC case. I have a set of the stickers here with me at work, looked at the Final Lap Twin sticker and they look identical, except that one is a bit roughed up.
I don't think it's a Sparky, I think he just made it himself. Look at his other auctions.

Quote from: guest on 02/15/2011, 04:27 PMThis little bit of stupidity really takes the cake: $49 opening price ($99 BIN) for an alleged factory error where a Final Lap Twin label was applied to a Keith Courage case.  First off, who gives a shit?  Second, I bet it's homemade.  And third, who give a shit?!?
Check his other auctions! This is the same dude who sells the custom made cases. Seems pretty obviously that he made this himself. What a total asshat.

Quote from: Nagoyan on 02/13/2011, 01:33 AMI've got to join in and say that Double Dungeons is one of the best 2-player experiences I've had on the Turbo. Zooming through the dungeons and building up levels and equipment to take down the tougher non-random monsters that guard the way to the more advanced parts of each dungeon is a great time. It's fine as a single-player game, but having a friend along makes it into a race to see who gets the best weapons/finds the boss first. I also like how every time you encounter the other player, the text box always displays the other guy's name with an exclamation point.

Plus, like many other first person dungeon crawls, the lack of an auto-map combined with the huge size of the later dungeons means this game can seriously improve one's spatial awareness with extended play.

The other game I had to mention is Last Alert. Sure the voice overs are goofy but there is some solid run 'n gun action to be had.

The goofy voiceovers are part of what MAKE Last Alert great. They're just awesome.

Quote from: elabit on 02/09/2011, 10:12 PMCool Stuff BMW. I played the Lynx when I was a kid and never got one though. I saw a bunch of Lynx games the other day for pretty cheap and was going to pick them up but passed. Are you going to play these? I played kung food. It was um.... interesting....
If I can find a system I'll play them.  I feel kind of bad since 9 of those 10 games are sealed, but hey games are meant to be played!
There's a local game store in my area that is selling a Lynx, 5 games (I think) and an Atari Lynx branded carrying case for $60. Let me know if you're interested and I'll get you the store's contact info.

I think it looks pretty great, but I'm concerned about hand cramps. I can't play any of the portables for more than 20-30 minutes without my hands turning into claws.

Well, Marll on here will vouch for me and I've done some trades on the evilavatar.com forums, but they don't have any kind of ranking system. I've posted this stuff on the Racketboy forums as well and Stark over there will vouch for me. Honestly, most of the buying/selling I've done in the past has been through craigslist, eBay, or Glyde.

Quote from: turbogrfxfan on 02/10/2011, 08:31 PM30 dollars shipping?!  ur nuts
It looks like he "revamped" the prices, so if that's the case it looks like he wants $150 shipped for the system etc :P
That's it exactly. The 180 shipped was before I redid everything and was a package deal. The system is now $150 shipped. I'm still open to package deals. I'm including shipping in the individual prices so obviously as a package it'd be cheaper.

I won't argue that I'm not nuts though.... ;)

Completely revamped. New stuff, new prices.

Realized I didn't have a CD game on there, added Last Alert.

I think Keith Courage is underrated.. I played through and beat that game the first night I got my Turbo Grafx 16 and loved every minute of it. I'm still sore they never released the sequel they promised in the end credits.
#13
I'll do $180 shipped.
#14
I'd rather not split it up. I really don't need another TG16 system-only sitting around. Already have an extra :)
But.... that said, make an offer..
#15
Well, I'd like to get in the $150-$200 range I think but I haven't really researched it a ton. I picked it up for $250 a while back but decided to go with a Duo.

The CD-ROM has some scratches on it, but works great. Haven't had any problems with it at all. Does not have the warm-up problem.

I can take some more pictures if you'd like.

Shipping included on purchases over $20. Less than that and you pay actual shipping, probably $2-$3 I'm guessing.
Also check out my other thread for non-turbo stuff https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=9264.msg160599

Sign me up! I had a decent TG-16 collection back in the early 90's but have recently started collecting again. I can't believe the prices for some of this stuff.
#18
Oh man.... those inserts look awesome. Do want!!!

BTW Sparky, I was given one of your case stickers for my Order of the Griffin. Amazing work.

I wonder if my receiver is just really good at cancelling out the feedback? Does your new receiver do it still?

Ok.... this is interesting news. I have a buddy that just picked up a "broken" cd dock off of eBay for $20 with no CD player. I'm curious now if the locking bit just needed to be turned. That'd be super cool if that's all it was. I'll have to let him know. Thanks guys!

Also, been lurking forever. Glad I can finally post!  :D
