RIP to BT Garner of MindRec.com... BT passed away early 2023 from health problems. He was one of the top PCE homebrew developers and founder of the OG Turbo List, then PCECP.com. Condolences to family and friends.

The only place I know of that makes a custom PSU for the Turbo CD, is Retro Game Cave.
http://retrogamecave.com/#/shop/4577155957/all-nec-power-supplies/5885729
To see a pic of it, you can click the Photo of the Duo system, and then mouse over the bigger pic, then click the right (>) or left (<) that appears in the middle of the image, along the side.

They're currently sold out, though.
If you follow them on Facebook, you'll be notified when they are gonna be back in stock.
https://www.facebook.com/retrogamecave

Also have their M1 and M2 Sega Trio PSUs. Bought em a year or so ago.
They are still working pretty good.

Anyone else have any experience with Retro Game Cave's PSus?

Thanks for stickying this thread!

Aaron, your 3D Printed cases look awesome.  8)
I don't plan to start making Injection-Molded HuCard Cases anytime soon, and will talk to you about it, before I start to get into that.
I haven't read your Making Of thread, but am assuming you've purchased an expensive 3D Printer and/or may have already printed a lot of cases, and wouldn't want to interfere with recovering the $ you've invested into that project.

Sorry I haven't been on the forums much, and missed the development of your 3D Printed cases, as well as a lot of other developments by other members. I got a lot of catching up to do!

As for what's up at Onion HQ:
I still have well over Ten Thousand of my HuCard Sleeves in stock. Supply is not an issue. Can also make more if/when stock gets low.
My sister is still helping out with Shipping, when she's not making fanarts of MLP: FiM stuff.  Website & eBay orders are filled within 24 to 72 hours.

Still working on the detached garage remodel. All that remains to be done is:
1. The drywall. Must buy more, and put it up. Also need to mud and tape the seams.
2. Installation of the air ducts, and moving the Window AC Unit to a different location. The #10-3 240v wiring is already in place.
3. Bathroom venting/exhaust system install, Bathroom Light Fixture installation, Water Heater Install, Hot & Cold potable plumbing install.

Strange work-schedule, and oddball weather, is slowing down completion of the above, making it hard to give an estimate on when I'll be finished.

Things I can do and/or finish, after switching focus back to new product development:
1. Sewer plumbing and hookup to be installed by a pro sometime in the future.
2. Toilet, Sink, and small walk-in shower installation.
3. Lowering the level of the dirt/land around the perimeter of the Detached Garage, and installation of the rest of the roof's gutter system.

Speaking of New Product development, I'm still going to wait until I finish the Detached Garage Remodel, before picking what to make next. Going to need the additional free time of not needing to work on remodeling, in order to catch up with, and research, the current state of retro gaming projects, and availability of other retro gaming products.

Quote from: Flare65 on 06/23/2013, 06:40 PMUm, the 4th line down you mention that you want to just break even, then on the 3rd paragraph down you mention you have a 75$ mark-up???

Anyway, good luck with your sale.
Sorry about that; looks like I'll be making a profit of about $0.26, if someone sends me a money order, instead of paying through PayPal.
Oh wait; I forgot to add $1.08, for the cost of the shipping box!  #-o
I'm not going to increase the price for that; and doing the math for the peanuts and bubble wrap is too much work. :P

Oh hey, just realized I forgot to mention the 30-day warranty.
I'll even cover return shipping.

$   0.43  for four color prints (Two envelopes, and two 8DPC Inserts)
$  15.00  estimated max shipping charge for USA (it gets lower the closer you are to Texas)
$  33.92  for the US System Card 2.0 (eBay)
$  15.48  for the controller ext cable (retro game cave)
$   0.90  for the two HuCard Sleeves (based on the Reseller Pack Pricing, that's offered on my website)
  $   2.34  for the two 8 Disk Poly Cases (From a 10-pk from meritline, for $11.68 w/shipping to 77581)
  $   3.80  for the S-Video Cable (monoprice.com w/shipping to 77581)
+$   2.87  for the RCA Stereo Audio Cable (monoprice.com w/shipping to 77581)
  $74.74

Hmm...
Math is weird.  :-s
Well, at least my $75 estimate was close!  :D
#5
Gonna gather my receipts, and re-check the paypal fees, and my math.
TBH, looking at this after grabbing a nap... $75 does seem kinda high for the extras.

UPDATE: (July 7'th 2013) SOLD via e-Bay.
-------------------------------------------

I hate to let this baby go, but I need the $, to pay for new tooling, to make more GBA Trays (It's kinda OT and a long story).

Anywho, this PCE Briefcase System was refurbished by non other than Keith Courage, last month! (May of 2013).
I'm only asking for enough $ to break even:
$308.31 For the System, and all of the Accessories shown.
+$  14.00 for Shipping via Parcel Select or UPS Ground or FexEx Ground (within the USA).
  $322.31 Total

Shipping overseas will cost more, and I'll look into it if you PM me your Country, City, and Zipcode.
Also, if you live in the USA, shipping might cost less than $14.00.
If you have an e-Bay Account, you can use their Shipping Calculator:
http://payments.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?EmitSellerShippingCalculator&guest=1
The package is 14 x 10 x 9 (inches)
and weighs 7 Pounds, and 5 Ounces
Origin is USA, Zipcode 77581

NOTE: If you are looking for a better deal, and/or don't want the extras I'm including in this bundle, you should contact Keith Courage.
He charged me $175 for the PCE Briefcase System (PCE, IFU & CD-ROM2), Japanese 3.0 SSC, Controller, 3'rd Party AC Adapter,
and $15 for the S-Video Mod,
and $40 for the Region Switch Mod (USA/Japan)
as well as $18 for S&H.
In other words, I paid him $248, and my markup is about $75, if you include my $14 S&H charge.
I purchased the S-Video Cable, RCA Stereo Audio Cable, 2.0 USA System Card, and Controller Ext Cord, separately, from other sources.

Photos of what ya get in this bundle:

You also get two 8-Disk Poly Cases (for the System Cards) with the two Cover Inserts Here and Here
and the two System Card Envelopes, from my other thread,
and two of my HuCard Sleeves.

The USA System Card (2.0) is mostly for convenience, when managing Game Save Data, as it's menus are all in English.
The Japanese System Card (3.0) works with US and JP CD-ROM2 games, as well as US and JP Super CD-ROM2 Games.
If you wanna play Arcade-Card games on this system, you'll need to get the PRO version of it.

Pro Tip: You can also use CD System Cards to manage Game Save Data on the Turbo Booster Plus, and it's variants from overseas.

You Know You've Made Too Many HuCARD Envelopes When...

IMG

..This makes sense!

Here is a link to a RAR File, that contains all of the USA Game and System Card Envelopes:
All_USA_TG16_HuCARD_Envelopes.rar [284 MB]
It's pretty big, but it's a great alternative to browsing this thread, and clicking several hundred times. XD
Allthough, if you only want a few of the Envelopes, then there's no need to download that big archive.
When ya un-rar it, it'll take up about 2.62 GB of space.

~I added the above to the OP.

Whew, man.. That took a while.

I'll add a link to a RAR file, containing all USA Game Envelopes,
and the two USA System Card Envelopes,
as soon as it finishes uploading to my website.

The TV Sports Envelopes will come in handy, for those of ya'll who are using it's HuCARD Tray with other games, and didn't have the heart to toss out the loose sports games.  :P

I'll get to the last 13 American HuCard Envelopes as soon as I can,
but first, here are some Envelopes for the System Cards:

I also went ahead and made Japanese System Cards too.
I'll post them on the other thread. XD

Quote from: FiftyQuid on 06/05/2013, 10:52 AMThanks.  Do I need to wear blue safety gloves and use the same wooden ruler that I had back in public school?

Seriously though, thanks for this.  I wouldn't have thought to use a regular knife.
Heh heh. No need to wear Nitrile gloves, unless ya have any skin allergies to paper, ink, or toner,
or if ya try and use Super Glue, instead of a mild (non-toxic and washable) glue stick.

Wooden rulers are cheaper than metal, and they tend to not slide around as much as a metal ruler, unless it comes with a rubberized-grip backing.
Plastic rules can be used too, but most of them tend to be too thin.

Oh, forgot to say, before applying the Glue from a Glue Stick, you should probably tape some Wax Paper to your desk first (although, it is pictured). XD
#17
I use a strait edge, and the back-side of a dull knife.
IMG

First, place the ruler along the line where ya want a fold,
then back it off a bit,
to compensate for the width of the dull knife's backside.
IMG

Next, Position the Knife like so.
Use your free hand to hold the Strait-Edge (Ruler) in place.
IMG
Gently pull the knife across the paper, while pressing it a bit against the ruler.
Don't push too hard.
It may take a couple tries, but ya'll get the hang of it, in no time.

Make sure to score the unprinted side, or you'll scrape off ink/toner.
#18
I just got mine.

IMG

Now I gotta get a TED...  #-o
#19
They're the same size as my USA HuCARD Envelopes.
I used 8.5" x 11" Paper, but they'll also fit on A4.
If you have a Color Printer, they'll print in Color.
If you have a Colour Printer, ya ain't a Texan, but that's ok, cause they'll still print out real nice, in Color. XD

IMG IMG IMG IMG IMG IMG

How to make em', after ya print em', and cut em' real good:

I recently made a single template, for a Japanese HuCard Game Envelope, and posted it to the Auction for Bernie's Daughter thread.
I'm not sure how many HuCard Games were released in Japan; last I heard it was somewhere around 300.

Anyway, if any of you wanna tackle making Envelopes for the Japanese Games, and like my Template, here it is:

IMG IMG
^Open^.......................................................................................^What it'll look like when Folded Closed^
I pretty much just rearranged some logos, that were made by the guys at TCP, for their DVD-Style Covers, for PCE Games.  :-"

Here are some white (English Alphabet) TG-16 Style letters you could use, as well:
IMG
Takin' it to the Hoop is shown as an example, so you can see how the yellow box spacers work, when building a Game Title.
You'll need to change the Yellow to Black, before ya copy and paste the text.
MS Paint has an easy-to-use tool for that...
IMG

The inner dimensions of the Black Box, that surrounds the Game Cover Photo, is 1180 x1180 Pixels.

The top-most part, of an Upper-Case letter, should be 26 pixels away from the Right Edge of the Blackened Game-Name Area.
If you'd rather opt for a more traditional, Japanese Alphabet, that's cool, but I can't help ya there.

If ya'll could post some PCE Game Database Links, it would help anyone interested in doing this.

If it's not too late, have a nice printer, and wanna do it, you could add these:
