I'm probably the only LA owner who uses their LA as a Laserdisc player and that's about it nowadays. Joking on that one. All jokes aside, I can't imaging why anyone would spend a mortgage payment just to play their games in composite (let alone the handful of games) whereas there are other cheaper alternatives to upscale your Turbo/Genesis games.

Come on composite is how the developers intended for us consumers to play, dithering and all.

I really don't see the point in owning a reproduction of something physical that cost this much just because it is tangible. I can understand brand new games that are made for retro consoles or maybe romhacks (which most are overpriced anyhow).

Night trap isn't a good game,but it does have a certain charm if you want to get laughs. I think what pisses me off most about it is you need to rush all the scenes/not see them to get the best ending/even get a decent ending.

Additionally, their kickstarter was a total shitshow. They could easily fix the problem above and it would play better (I use that term lightly since it is a fmv game).

I think the original price was $649, but then he bumped it up to like $750ish later on cause wood and hot glue cost lots of money.

But yeah it seems off, those Old Style sticks are usually $50 dollary doos with kidney beans usually $35-$40ish +- from what i've seen.

What I find interesting is that I'm starting to see PCE Works games show up on Yahoo! Japan Auctions, and they are attracting a lot of bids. Space Fantasy Zone copies are consistently going for over 25,000 yen, and there is a copy of Super Real Mahjong Pantsu edition that is at 31,000 yen right now.

I used to think that Japan was immune to bootlegs, but it looks like that is not the case.

Tobias sold bootlegs like Space Fantasy Zone and Rockman on yahoo japan auctions before making them available anywhere else. They got bid up to thousands of dollars each, as they were presented as a small batch of long lost copies that NEC didn't distribute for some reason. Circus Lido helped make it more believeable. Even when the Sapphire bootlegs were first noticed and he kept coming up with more unbelieveabke stories,  a few people here refused to believe that they were real and kept making posts similar to ctophil's RVGS dream that Punch loves to repost.

Did anyone save the yahoo japan auction? How was Tobias response?
