Localization Legend "Supper the Subtitler" has "joined the club" in being targeted for CD-pressings by bootleg master Tobias/PCEWorks! His projects like Private Eyedol, Galaxy Fräulein Yuna 1 & 2, etc. are now being sold on Chinese factory-pressed CDROMs...

Didn't get a chance to post earlier in the week, but the games came in and everything looks and plays great.  Thanks again Roy!!

Gamera is really neat, Gamera is filled with meat.

I'm content to pick up games I had when I was young as well as games I was interested but missed out on back then. Having a complete collection isn't anwhere in my plans, although would be cool.

I got my DUO-R in April of this year from Keith Courage.  It has an S-Video as well as region mod.  Being able to pick up Turbo games I foolishly traded away back in the day, as well as imports I always wanted has been awesome.

I skipped over parts but it still gave me a headache. I'm still trying to figure out his definition of 'new'. . .

I didn't get a chance to reply last week when the package came in, so I wanted to pop in and send a quick thank you out to Keith Courage for the Duo-R.  Everything came in just fine packaged up nice and tight and exactly as shown.  Everything works great and I am happy to be the proud owner of a region modded, s-video added, Turbo Duo R.

This is a Turbo Grafx system complete with original cords, hard plastic carrying case, 1 controller, and 5 way controller Turbo Tap. It includes both card game system and cd game system which both work perfectly. Included is 30 card games and 5 cd games in cases with ALL books. There are a few blemishes here and there but overall it is in perfect condition with not a single scrath on the cd games. I've checked on Ebay periodically, prices for these items are up and down but I have yet to find something as complete as this. It is truly a collectors item but I must finaly sacrifice it.

Hmm, that's a good point.  Aren't there converters available though?

The reason I ask is, I've been looking into getting a duo of some sort (pc or turbo) and then maybe a base system from the opposite country so I have most of the games covered.  Because of this I havent really been on the lookout for a tg16 cd player but one just popped up on my local craigslist with a tg16, CD and base, the carrying case, and 35 games for 350.  The games alone caught  my interest but I'm not sure I really want the tg16/cd setup . . .

Besides form factor and integrated system card, is there any advantage to a turbo duo over a tg-16 with cd attachment?  Is there any reliability issues with the tg-16 cd player?

Are there any particular games you are targeting to play first on it? (assuming you don't already have a system)

The goodwills around me seem to have nothing when I check them out.  A taped up genesis would be quite the find (though still just as dissapointing).

Well, if I can get my hands on a TurboDuo in good shape without going through Ebay or Craigslist, then it's worth it.

Any estimate on how long before I can sit down comfortably after round 2?

Is that AFTER you find someone as a reseller or just part of the normal screening process?

Anything in particular you guys do to weed out resellers and such?  I realize it's probably pretty questionable for me to display such interest after having just recently registered and all.

Quote from: The Burnin8or on 01/23/2012, 09:32 AMI am definitely not looking to resell it.  I used to have a TG-16 years ago and I have always regretted trading it in.  I have been interested in getting back into one (been on a retro kick recently) and since I never had a CD add on for it, it seemed like the Duo would be the way to go now.
If you mainly want to do US HuCards with a CD add on you better hop on this deal.
That is certainly where I am looking to start; just trying to get some of the stuff I got rid of, but can't easily play in another way now.  For example, I loved Military Madness, but I have that collection on the PS1 now, so I am good there.  I have numerous things from the VC and PSN but I'd really like to have physical copies of stuff instead.

Wow, I joined recently hoping to find a better place to get a TurboDuo than Ebay and this goes up.  I would definitely be interested assuming the unit isn't broke or anything.
