Please add me :)

Payment sent. Sorry for holding up the group, I still thought I had till Feb. 21st.

I'm ok with the 64M and Feb 19th sounds good to me. Price wise, we would need to add an extra 4% (or send as a gift) so that the one buying doesn't get hit with the fees.

For sure the everdrive will be better in every way. No doubts about it. I own all of Krikk's product and I love them.

I myself have no Hucards yet, so I would very much like having a neoflash cart while waiting for the everdrive. The 64M would be cheaper than $100. I see it as a fairly inexpensive way to play what I want while waiting for the evedrive.

Quote from: Duo_R on 02/04/2012, 06:08 AMI am interested, but when does the everdrive for PCE come out?
There's no set date really. Krikzz hoped to deliver it in summer. But right now he's not working on it. He's focusing on the mega everdrive also he's helping, if I'm not mistaken, on a new snes flash cart as well.

Quote from: incrediblehark on 02/03/2012, 11:40 AMgenetik, if you want I can get your card and mail it to you. We've had some transactions in the past (just bought your everdrive) and if it would save you shipping I would be happy to help out.
I don't mind, but I don't see how it would lower the shipping cost. Yes, the shipping for the 2nd card to you would be free (since it tags along yours), but I would still need to shell out the $8-9 from you to me. Plus the extra shipping time.

Ideally, the person ordering the lot should be a trusted member of the forum and be located where the bulk of the other buyers are located, which is most likely the US. That person gets a small discount of not paying for the 2nd shipping (also gets the cart first), but will have to pack the other 9 carts and send them.

In preparation for getting the card, I tried to make a quick list of what I could fit on the 128 and the 64. I managed to get about 31 games to fit on the 128 (15.5MB worth of roms) and about 15 games on the 64 (7.7MB worth of roms). The 128 one would fit just about all the games I really want, but it's definitely much harder to do a selection for the 64.

Quote from: guest on 02/03/2012, 10:24 AMTennokoe Bank is the only huey that saves internally, making the save function pretty much useless.

Well if the internal save function is pretty much unused, I say that we either go for the 64M or the battery-less 128M. The battery-less 128M would cost $104 plus shipping from the buyer's home to us as opposed $74 for the 64M one.

Quote from: Flare65 on 02/03/2012, 12:39 AMI'm stil a bit confused as to what this thing actually does.  Does it come with any games on it?

Doesn't come with any games. You load whatever you want using the usb linker.

Quote from: mlbfan10 on 02/03/2012, 12:42 AMIs there a discount for doing a group buy? :p

Yes, some discount. In a group, the 64M is $74 (plus shipping) as opposed to $99 (free shipping for only one cart). The battery-less 128M is $104 (plus shipping) as opposed to $129 (again, free shipping for only one cart).

We're saving about $20 per cart (we have to pay for the 2nd shipping as well). Since I'm located in Canada, I would get hit with a higher shipping cost. Maybe $8-9...I'm wondering if it's worth it to save $15-18. The only thing that worries me is what if some of them that are DOA. Would we have to get it exchange using the original buyer?

Quote from: HercTNT on 02/02/2012, 10:04 PMI'm interested in a 64 meg cart as well, what is the projected cost on a group buy?
For the 64M, it would be $74 per person (if we get at least 10 persons) + cost of shipping from the person that orders to your house. The 128M one would cost $114 plus shipping.
#11
I'm definitely interested. Although I would prefer the 128M model, I could settle for a 64M if that's what everyone else agrees on.
#12
I read in the previous replies about the risks of it not working. I'm thinking that if it doesn't, I could always try to find a cheap TG16 until it works or just resell the flash cart. At $50 cheaper than what they usually sell it for, I'm thinking that wouldn't be that hard to get rid of it without losing too much money.
#13
So did the group buy happened? If not, I would be down for one. I just got my Turbo and would very much like to test out games on an actual console before putting down money for a Hucard. $150 is a bit steep, but I would be ready to spend $100 plus shipping for one. Really looking for Krikzz's everdrive, but I would like to start checking out games now.

Count me in!

I just got my first Turbo Duo yesterday and it's also my first NEC console as well. I own zero games for now. Had to borrow some from neoxeno just to test my new purchase.

Quote from: A_Locomotive on 01/31/2012, 02:40 PMGive him time he will respond, he's a busy guy. It took about a month of back and forth emails to get what I wanted nailed down. He answered a lot of my questions, provided me with lots of photos and even helped me choose my first games by offering suggestions based on the genres and games I liked for other consoles. Just be patient he will get back to you, if not send him another email so it bumps to the top of his inbox, believe me his service is good enough to be worth the effort.

Sadly it's too late now. A region/RGB modded Turbo Duo R was delivered to my house today. I didn't want to be pushy with mails and I read on the assembler/neo-geo forums that he doesn't answers his emails much. I really wanted an s-video out, but I'll live with the RGB. Just a pain that I had to buy a scart to component converter (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SEGA-SCART-RGB-YPbPr-YUV-Component-Video-Converter-/220698773448) so that I can actually hook it up to my north American CRT. But I guess the converter might be useful for other consoles.

I managed to find a nice TurboDuo-R, very clean. It should be in my hands later today.

Yeah, yeah, I noticed. I literally hit post and noticed at the same time :(, my bad.

Quote from: neoxeno on 01/29/2012, 06:49 PMHey Genetik, welcome to the site, glad to see that your interested in the PCE.

Thanks neoxeno. I ignored the PCE for far too long. It's time to jump in.

Quote from: A_Locomotive on 01/27/2012, 11:10 PMEmail/PM D-Lite, I bought mine from him, he set me up with a boxed one, region modded, with a ton of games. This is his site, http://www.multimods.com/, he also offers an s-video mod like you want.

That's what I did. I used the email on his site, just before I posted here. It's been a week without a response from him. I would've definitely preferred buying from him, but too bad I guess.

Edit: Great, first post and i screw up by not posting in the proper sale section. Can a mod please move my message in the NEC section?

I'm brand new to this forum and I'm hoping to pickup a Turbo Duo-R. Although I've been aware of PC Engine games for at least 15 years, I've never felt compeled to step into that console, until now. I've been knee deep in MVS for the last 18 months and I've decided that it's time to start looking into the PC Engine. I have to say that the upcoming Krikzz flash cart kinda pushed me toward this decision. So here's what I'm looking for,

- Turbo Duo-R in good condition. CD drive must be in excellent working condition. I could also consider other models, but from what I understand, the Duo-R seems the most reliable.
- Ideally modded with S-Video and the region mod
- with ac/av adapters and at least one controller
- any other cool mod is a plus

Although it would be nice that the console looks clean, it's not a total must if everything is working great. Ideally a loose console as I don't care at all for boxes and manuals. I already have a ton of useless boxes from other consoles, I don't need another one. I would consider a non-modded console since I know someone that can mod it, but price wise it would make more sense to buy a pre modded one. If the price is right, I wouldn't mind though.

I also have a ton of stuff up for sale on the shmups forum, so feel free to propose a trade.
