@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Quote from: TheClash603 on 07/10/2012, 07:36 PMVery cool.  As long as this doesnt turn into a Bonk: BOE thread, this is awesome news.
What, What, What? I enjoy the amount of angriness that comes this forum.

Now we should all put our nuts in the Bonk BOE guy's mouth.
present them, way to ruin a topic by bringing me into it.

'Bird Bonk' is not the correct name it's 'Fester Bonk'

Upload it to someplace like mediafire and PM link(s) to jlued, or just shut the hell up.
Thank you for asking me to break the forum rules, And I'm sure mediafire doesn't allow it to. And why would I need to upload it. If you just ignore me, I wouldn't need to shut the hell up, your reply tells me you care about me. I love you too

If someone can get the moderators to make an exception to this rules. I will make a torrent, host it, and seed too. Plus instructions on how to setup the game too.
Or you could just post a video of yourself playing the game. You know, something simple to prove you're not full of shit.

Been here forever and check in nearly every day. I'm not the most active participant in the forums, but I do love it here. Great community with great people.

Only if you post proof of owning Brink of Extinction.
This could get very interesting, what game is in the raffle?

Edit: Oh, BTW, LOOK AT ME I AM AN ATTENTION-WHORE. LOOK AT ME.

You're not the first noob to creep around pretending to have preposterous information/resources.  Stolen photos, posts chock full of typos, a locked thread, and the now-you-see-it-now-you-don't, attention-whore BS with your website don't leave you with much credibility.
I can understand some of your perspective, but stolen photos? You seem to have lost me on that one. Just cause someone takes the time to scan something in, it makes it their property? I would give credit to someone for their time for doing such an act. But it is not their property. I tried to contacted 'sunteam_paul' with no reply. I would say more then half the time I get not reply. But then again you seem to be replying to me just fine though. So me being an 'attention-whore' as you put it. I seem to have won, just by getting my reply knowing it works or getting attention. :)
You don't seem to have tried very hard, considering you can PM me on this or many other forums, send a message via facebook or twitter, or email me directly. What did you do, put a message in a bottle and chuck it in the sea?

Also, you did ask about the scan in the thread after I pointed it out, to which I said it was fine and also gave you full permission to use anything else you wanted, with credit.  :?
I'm very sorry I miscalculated, I did not take in count for the minor meteor shower that hit the moon, the gravitational pull was a little different that evening, which in turn throw off the normal oceanic waves, you may want to look southeast filthy-six and 13/6 paces down the beach, the bottle should be there. It's red with a big pink castus on it!

I tried emailing you (paul@pcengine.co.uk) without a reply. I asked you a few questions;

like where did you get the image? I know you wrote what magazine it came from.
Why is there a big square block that reads, "part of image missing"?
Were you the first person to scan this?
And why is my image I have one pixel bigger both height and weight, I know it sounds lame but someone edit it at some point.

Quote from: guest on 07/01/2012, 02:03 PMWait...how did she "give" you a copy of Bonk: BOE? On a disc? Say what? And considering how the team who made Bonk RPG had nothing to do with Bonk: BOE, I'd call your information suspect...at best.
You were looking in the wrong place. What dose 'Bonk: BOE' and 'Bonk RPG' have in common? The publisher maybe, don't look at the developer.

Quote from: rjardina on 06/24/2012, 08:57 AMI've been told it more like 45% complete, and was completely playable. Grafxs, sound, text and other detail were the things that were missing out of the last (beta) release. I've been told be two different sources it was place on a pc engine demo disc but was not assessable through the menu or a code. But was just a chunk of data place on the disc. If it real, someone would have to have the disc and dig through the date to find it, most likely not going to happen :(

This is all rumored of course.
What a load...

I heard a rumor that it was canceled because Enix sued them for copyright infringement soon before completion. There are 10,000 complete copies, but since they were unsellable they will be buried with Toshiyuki Takahashi.

There you go. Now everyone has just heard a rumor. Have fun with it.
The same woman that gave me a copy of "bonk: brink of extinction" is one of the people that told me that. See how she gave me a game that was never released I personally would believe her. Now of course this is my word, just adding my two cents. But then again only about half of the information on bonk is correct on the internet.

Buy/Sell/Trade / TurboDuo case, (gone)
06/24/2012, 10:09 AM
I have a case the TurboDuo (US version) This is JUST THE CASE OR HOUSING NOT THE SYSTEM.

It is in good shape, also has the cd-rom module too. a few scratches nothing that bad. pictures on email request only.

I bought an AS-IS system on ebay thinking I could fix it. When I was replacing all the caps. I took the PCB out to get to the through-hole caps and two of the chips was burnt and the PCB beyond repair  too :(. Out of angry I broke the PCB in similar fashion as the guys did to the printer in the movie 'office space'. Just so I could get some enjoyment out of it. :)

Make me an offer if you want it.

I'm looking for a TurboStick, keith courage anything that is bonk related or turbografx at the moment

OR is this just JUNK???

Edit: When I broke the board i did it right down the middle. Out of shits and giggles I tried to see if it still works. The chips and the part of the board that was burn was on the CD-rom, still puzzled why it was burnt to began with. not that much power on that side. But the Hu card part still works. (crazy)

damn, I own three dozen turbografx games and none of them are keith courage.

This forum is pretty cool, it always comes up in search results with good information. I've posted a few times, I guess I would be part of the community Because i am here. But after reading this post I will have to cry myself to sleep tonight.

Quote from: guest on 06/04/2012, 09:07 PMThere are also images taken from the Turbo Play Archives.
Yes, but isn't a water mark enough. The other thing is, at the moment I'm to lazy to scan. It's a test ran too. when I'm done It will have a real domain name and the server will be over seas too.  Nor will I be able to post the link to it from here when I'm done :(. Please keep in mind I've been scanning things for the past two years and making this site but only when i'm drunk. and i don't drink that that offen

Please tell me what I have used I will credit it.

I've also tried emailing 'The Bonk Compendium' over a half dozen times with no replies. Plus they have a couple facts that are wrong. I know I have at least two at the moment. also that is the reason there is just content and not much information, I like facts not rumors. (yes I know there is a rumor suction)

At the moment I'm thinking about just deleting everything and going with a single page format. more of a timeline set up

most of everything I have of bonk will soon be sold off and the site has no real value to most. Most seem to be medalist and don't share my nostalgia. I will most likely make a torrent of the site. and share it that way. The torrent itself will have a couple of roms too. Biggest one will be a demo of 'bonk - brink of extinction'

Also I will continue to look for information and any scans (good) I don't own. and help would be great in getting information.

I do have to say this single forum is more likely the greatest site for any one console, without a second thought. I will ask the own of the site if I can like to the torrent when I am done with it. in about a year. The information that was on my site is just a function of what I have

Quote from: tg16manaic on 04/16/2012, 07:28 PMIMO the top ten rarest games are:

Syd Mead's Terraforming
Super Air Zonk
Godzilla
Magical Chase
Dynastic Hero
Might & Magic 3: Isles Of Terra
Beyond Shadowgate
Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure CD

... also rare are the two Hawaiian Island Girl releases if those even count.
There are 3 island girl games not 2.

I think we need to seperate RARE ( as in hard to find but not always expensive ) with just Expensive..

Cotton turns up all the time,
Bonk cd aswell, but super air zonk not so much
terraforming seems a hard one to find.
MC isnt hard to find, just expensive.

The island girls games are hard to find..  i also have a sealed Keith Courage ( along with god knows how many loose ).. but i havent seen that turn up much, was it sealed when sold as a pack in?
Bonk 3 CD does not come up for sale often. I check ebay almost daily for the hard to find titles. In the past year, I saw about 4 or 5 listings tops for that game. Bonk 3 huey pops up much more often.
The CD version is rarer then the HuCard and it is about 1 to 7. But with that being said I have seen the CD version at least a dozen times in the last year on ebay. Unless you are using a different ebay then me. Also the CD is normally Buy it now verses an auction like more of the Hucard version is.

My version of Bonk 3 CD i got off ebay. It was a buy it now for $225 or make offer. It was on ebay < 30 minutes. I made him an offer of $200 and ten minutes later I turned around and gave him his asking price. I didn't want to wait on his reply because the last three i seen that were auctions went for over $400

Yes, I still paid way to much for it

Could you tell me, or someone else tell me the issue/month this was released. So I could keep an eye out for it
thanks
There are absolutely no identifiers on the disc itself (as far as date).

The intro shows Spring 1993

I have several videos on my youtube channel... here is the intro screen
Is there any way you could point me to an image of the disc it self?

Hello pcenginefx forum :)

I have a US TurboExpress with all new capacitors fixing the sound
issue, and making the video a little better too. For trade.

I'm a huge bonk/genjin/bckid fan I have all the games for the US,
missing one game from japan (not counting demos/samples) and
I have a few games from the pal region. I have two games from
Hong Kong/China.

I'm looking for the box, plastic tray and anything else that came,
with Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure (hu card version) I have the
game and the manual but that's it. I would be willing to trade
for my TurboExpress for it. And I'm also looking for anything
else that is genjin/bonk/bckid related that I do not have.

I also have money too if the Express dose not tickle someone.

Just seeing what is out there
thanks

--------edit---------

Being a huge bonk collector if anyone wants boxes, manuals,
and other scans. I'll be more then happy to provide for any
system
