10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

Yep, it says 1a instead of 1.25 I'm guessing its cause there isn't a disc drive on the system just the hu card. Hopefully that
s all it is. 40c is cheaper than buying a new PC Engine :)

Here is a pic of the board new the power input. I'm not sure what the fuse looks like I'm guessing its the clear thing here. (Excuse my noobness, only a novice with electronics most I've done with this machine was remove the RF unit and replace it with the five pin din)

Looking at that if it is the fuse, it does look like its burnt in the inside.

Hi everyone,

I have a PCE Core 2 and I was testing out a repair job I did with a joystick. Unforunately when I plugged it in and turned the console on, the console failed. I believe I mustn't have grounded a wire in the controller so I must have blown something in the console itself but I have no idea on where to start to try and recover my poor Core 2. Any advice on what to try first would be appreciated :)

Thanks everyone!
