Ya hopefully someone will respond. I am looking forward to getting this unit going so i can do a little restoration on my original unit.

according to a good friend of mine i got the shaft on ebay when i bought a turbo cd unit in unknown condition on ebay. i am finding he is probably right. anyway, I was wondering who on this forum does repair. the base unit likely just needs the caps replaced but the cd unit is quite different. The cd unit has all the teeth ripped of the middle gear no surprise but the other problem is when the laser unit is in the home position the cd make a horrible whining sound but the spinner doesn't spin. if the top is open the whining sound doesn't stop. I found that to be kinda odd. anyway pm me if you are interested in fixing this unit i got off of ebay. Thanks
