Every time someone gets shit after trying to take advantage of the forum, they come up with some sob story explaining why it's okay to gouge.  Whether it's true or not, your story isn't special and it doesn't excuse your actions.

Ha, I really don't care who believes me on the story and at the time I didn't think I was gouging. As some people said some were high and some were low. I kept lowering prices as things didn't sell. 

You don't know this forum at all if you think any of us would've lied about those game's values, bought 'em cheap to flip, or stolen anything.  Personally, I would've suggested he sell each separately on ebay with good pics, accurate descriptions, and 99 cent starting prices.

Wasn't trying to call out the forum. Was honestly asking what someone else might do in that situation. (A fun hypothetical) As far as the Ebay thing goes he was awful at listing things. I thought it would be easier for him if I listed them in the forums and it was. Seriously his Ebay listings were all lower case titles and no descriptions. He was a bit older than me and had didn't have an Ebay account when we met,

Hey, I actually get what you are saying and I have no problem with how you put it.

I like to play games. I get together with friends and we either play something from my collection (even if it's rare or expensive) or play pinball (which honestly has taken over in terms of what I enjoy playing at my house) Me and my best friend for the last 6 years have been going through every NES game I have alphabetically and playing them (Some Games for much longer than others.)

I have some everdrives but I prefer to play physical copies. I mean we've all had roms on our computers back in the day but just preferred to have physical copies. 

When I got into collecting heavily everything was cheap so I was never in it for the money and my collecting slowed as prices climbed. I have just accepted that as time has gone on so have the prices and there are a couple things I just want to finish up. So, the question is Do I wait and hope prices go down or because I have the means right now do I finish my set? I've chosen to finish my set. Who knows when/if prices will go down.

So, when you are looking for something that doesn't pop up every day you kind of hit up every avenue you can. I can understand how this rubs people the wrong way.

Also, in regards to the for sale post from 3 or 4 years ago... As I said then I was doing it for a friend. This was a guy whose Father in Law was a hoarder (Mostly all video games) and had died. The mom was in a house that was in rough shape due to the hoarding. They needed money for the mother in law to fix up the house because obviously the Father in Law has spent most of their money on his hoarding (also, boarded tons of glassware) This guy was trying to sell all of these games for about 2k on Craigslist. I'm sure this will keep your torches lit but I offered to tell him the value of everything and help him sell it and not take advantage of him (so selfish) He had no idea what he had. I did not take a cut of any money he made. He did let me have some games (That I told him the value of at the time) for helping him out. I listed his stuff up on the forums and he collected payment and shipped. Everything from those original forum posts was sold. We made his Mother in Law the money she needed to fix up her house and get back on her feet and I felt pretty good about it. It honestly was just fun going through all the boxes as they kept cleaning out the house. I helped out someone and I made a friend.

It's funny because he had a Magical Chase Manual that I told him to sell on EBay and a Dynastic Hero that I also told him to sell on EBay (The last 2 things I needed). I should've offered to buy them but I was at a different point in my life.

So, I guess light those torches up. I won't continue to try to defend myself because it's honestly not worth it and you can believe my story or not... Just thought it would make for a good read. I'm sure some people are mad that I told the guy the value of his games but would it have been better to just buy everything up from him and lie? I probably could of made 50k off the guy but I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did that to someone. I also could've walked out of his garage with that manual and he would've never known the difference. I won't speak for everyone but what would you guys do in that situation?

I will go and try to find the manual somewhere else and I'm cool with that. It's honestly not something I just have to have.

Yeah you know me. My 52 posts really paint the picture of a guy that needs to be told to fuck right the fuck off. I made a for trade post when I first joined and that was a big no no. Then I tried to participate in some threads but was turned away by the negativity. Go check out my my posts from 2012-13 just a terrible  guy all around on these forums.

Also, love you calling me out in the other thread for only knowing dollar signs and buzz words and being a noob. Again, you just got me figured out.

I may have when I was in my teens but now I'm in my early 30's with real life issues to deal with. I wouldn't say, "Go fuck yourself" to some random and I wouldn't ask, "if they are retarded" because I'm an adult.

I'm not new to the scene and have been on NA since 2007 and on here since 2011. I don't think throwing out a $1000 offer on a manual is begging for a deal. I also don't need to belittle people on forums to make myself feel big because you know... real life?

There are some cool people here and I've had quite a few good experiences but for a Mod to just be outright aggressive for no reason is just petty. You guys do what you want but remember it's just a forum on the internet and there are probably more important things to direct your anger towards.

Yeah, I returned it and got a refund. The seller did sell some other legitimate items and he was claiming it was real. I honestly just think he didn't know it was fake and he couldn't have been nicer about it.

I didn't check the pictures as well as I should've but I didn't think it was fake until I had it in my hand. I wouldn't say I'm a novice collector that can't spot a fake but until its in your hand sometimes it's just hard to tell.

I do regret that I didn't post my own WTB thread but I didn't want to step on anyone's toes. Unfortunately by not doing that I missed out but it happens.

The one with the cut out points just sold for 1200. I would've been more than happy to pay 800-1000. I don't think I'll find it for that cheap unless I get lucky.

Yeah I saw that one. I knew this wasn't a legit seal. I was just hoping it was a minty copy when I opened it.

The seller had some other high dollar stuff including a complete stadium events they sold. So, I figured they were on the up and up. Honestly I just think he didn't know it was fake.

Trying to determine if my sealed Dynastic Hero is a fake. The reasons I'm doubting it are:
The manual has wear.
The other sealed duo games I have didn't have that band going around the shrink wrap.
The manual's spine looks worn.
Looking at it through the sides it also looks like there aren't any pages in the manual.

If any one has any pictures of Dyanstic Hero's manual or the back art itself I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, guys

I have a TG-16 CD setup with the System 3.0 card. I love the thing to death and I play tons of PC engine CD games on it. I just feel like I'm missing out on a lot of great JP Hu-card exclusives. I'm looking for reliable guys on here that do nice clean mods. I searched the forum but it was hard to find some more recent people doing it. If anyone can steer me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, I have a Turbo Express and it won't turn on. I've been dying to see the thing in action. Does the community know anyone that fixes these? Let me know. Thanks, Scott
