2/13/2025: Localization News - Cosmic Fantasy 3-4!

Rather earth-shattering news in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 community: Cosmic Fantasy 3 & 4 has been officially localized to English by Edia 30 years later for the Switch! Hard to believe! I know their script quality is poor given the 1&2 port but still good to see.

I wanna say the ISO is a BIN/CUE. so I have the BIN mounted.
#2
I think it's mounting OK, but when I go to launch it it says Not PCE Game
#3
so, you just mount the ISO and load M.E and it works when you click 'Load CD' and choose the drive letter of your mount?
I use Virtual Clone Drive:

Have you guys ever had any luck using Virtual Drives to mount the CD Images for use with Magic Engine? I tried it with Cosmic Fantasy 2 last night and it wouldn't work.

What's the policy on discussing Emulation and ROMs here?
#6
well, I lent it to him 15 years ago, asked for it back like 5 years ago and he had moved out of his parents house and left it there. His parents put it away somewhere and they're currently cleaning their house out.

thanks for the RCA links

I need to start digging into this site...
So, this Keith Courage fella sells this stuff?
Last time I really looked at the market TurboZoneDirect still existed...

Quote from: Bardoly on 11/01/2012, 05:50 PMJust get yourself a region-modded from Keith Courage here on the forums.  Then you'll be able to play pretty much every Turbo game, including the massive PC Engine library.  (Get an Arcade Card with it, then you'll be able to play them all.)
how much will that run me?

How exactly do you tap into the expansion port to do the RCAs? I saw a video where a guy just wired it. Didn't realize there was two ways to do this. the one I saw had the RCAs on the side, but now I see someone with RCAs in the cover piece similar to a TurboBooster. Doesn't look like he soldered anything either
#11
oh yeah...
I guess we'll see how it stresses an 8 core Xenon with a GTX570 in it :D

it's just not the same though... plus I have no idea where to get ROMs...

I'm actually trying to find a Turbo Booster. I'm crap at soldering. I saw people with hacked in RCAs.
As for CF2... yeah, I've found it a billion times for $20 or so... but without my TurboDuo, I can't do much with it except stare at it longingly remembering my first real JRPG
#13
I REALLY don't want to spend $700 to replace my TurboDuo...
#14
wow, really? that high? crap. Was hoping to go there to stock up.
#15
HA! Yeah, no China Warrior. funny, someone else mentioned that too.
I had it as a rental, beat it, returned it.
Did that a lot
I'll tell you the one game I wish I had: Cosmic Fantasy 2
that's the only reason I want to find my TurboDuo...

Hi there.
I'm a diehard NEC fan. I bought my TG16 brand new at Child World on August 31, 1989. I loved it. We only had one console at a time. My parents weren't one to buy a Genesis, a SNES and a TG16 so it was up to me to pick. I picked the TG16 because my friends had Nintendos and Genesiseseseses... so I wanted something different.
We had all the great games. We even had a local place that rented imports with that purple adapter. It really was great.
My parents eventually bought my a TurboExpress in 1990 and then later a TurboDuo for Christmas in 1992.
Well, about 15 years ago, I lent my TurboDuo to a friend and never saw it again. We're still looking for it
Recently, I found my TG16, but no connector cables or AC adapter. I also found my TurboExpress

so, as a newbie here... I take it ebay is not a good place to buy stuff at a reasonable price...

Does the TurboVision thing work with modern VHF/UHF?
