The best thing about the current trend of huge-ass 60" TVs is that they forced people to get rid of all that lacquered pine, mirror shelving, beveled/frosted glass doors, and maddeningly inaccessible rear access ports. The "entertainment center" was incredibly offensive on levels both artistic and technical. Too large to clean behind, too heavy to move, incredibly restrictive, and all together 100x too midwestern Grandma.

"Sorry, you can't can't buy an Pioneer Elite series LD player because its .5" too wide for cubbies permanently built into your shed-sized shelving unit.

1. With my 3 year old sitting next to me, making the most precious comments while I play: "oh! It's a dinosaur!", "Daddy, it's a robot!", "Look at the spaceship!". I can't wait until he is old enough to play with me. 

2. After the kids are in bed, and the living room is dark, with a beer sitting on the end table next to me (a dark brew, of course!)

Just completed Bonk's Adventure last night. Started Bonk's Revenge. What?! Limited continues?   Oh well, I'll just have to work harder then.
Completed Dracula X with 100% before that.

The grey PC-Engine Duo has pretty much the same reputation with caps from what I understand. I had to get mine re-capped.

Even with a recapped Duo you can still have play issues from CD-R's.  I even use CD-R's for certain games, but make sure they are 1:1 rips and not those shitty mp3/iso tracks.  Even wav/iso's give issues.  The toc fixer program helps if you do get a game that has issues found here. http://www.necstasy.net/.  Anyways welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of a great system.  By the way what games are you mainly into?  If it's shooters then you got the right system!

I only use .bin + .cue rips. I don't deal with the other crap. I learned that when I bought a Sega CD about a year ago. So far, so issues. I've always loved platformers, but shooters are are really growing on me, hence the purchase of this system. I would really appreciate recommendations for other CD shooters that that arn't GOT/LOT.

Hi Everyone! I recently purchased a PC-Engine Duo from Japan, and had it recaped. After watching every episode of Turbo Views, and the Turbo specific episode of GameSack, I decided that I HAD to get one. It's a shame that this thing bombed in the US like it did. This is one amazing system.

BTW: www.game-tech.us did my recap, and did fast, excellent work, so he gets a free plug from me. Thanks akaviolence!
