Got this in the mail yesterday; Thanks again for organizing this purchase.

Anynow, no matter what I do, I can't get the USB Slim Loader IV working.
I always get a 'connecting fault', when I run the writing software. I am
using Win98se. Any help would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I think it's incredibly lame when a company yells
"We're offering 50% off our ENTIRE inventory"
and suddenly several items are conveniently
missing from their "inventory" during the sale.

Hello-

Looking for a TurboVision box, ideally with
anything that originally came in the box. I
am willing to buy, or perhaps trade for an
extra TurboVision unit that I. Thank you!

I've got a TurboGrafx System with the CD
attachment. It boots up fine with the basic
CD system card. And Japanese games will
play fine with the Purple Barney converter
that I use.

I got a Japanese Super System card a while
back, and finally got a Super CD to play with
it Today. I booted my system up with the 3.0
card, and the 'Push Run Button!' screen came
up. I put the SCD in, and press the Run button.
Then the screen says 'Just A Moment,' like any
loading CD does. A few minutes later, it's still
on this screen, and I'm getting impatient, so I
turn off the system, and re-power the unit up.

Now, the system won't boot up with the 3.0
card at all. Maybe the card was formatting or
something when I turned it off? Any idea if the
card is ruined? Any way for me to reset it, or
test it? Tried it on my turbo-express, but I get
the same white/green/blue screen that I get
when I try to boot the 3.0 card on my TV. Any
suggestions would be very greatly appreciated!

Was any of the gore changed, going from
the Japan to US version of Splatterhouse?
#13
Are you interested in selling it,
or trading for a game or two?

I've been playing R-Type a lot on my Turbo-Express lately. When
I played it on my TG-16 a few months back, my first impressions
were that the general colors and appearance seemed a bit bland.
On the other hand, shrunken down on the TE, it seems to pack a
much more exciting visual punch to me. I'm not sure whether it's
the hypnotic shimmering of the pixels as the screen scrolls, or if
my imagination more easily fills in the blanks with the TE's small
screen, but I'm really enjoying the feel of playing my R-Type now.

Those turbo pad cables just aren't long enough.
I'm in need of an extender cable. Anyone got an
extra one of these lying around? I'll buy it for a
reasonable price; I have also got a few HuCard
duplicates that you can choose from, to trade it.
Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

Hello-

I've recently acquired the TurboGrafx CD player.
Standalone, it powers up fine using the TG-16
power supply. When I put a CD into it, and press
'play,' the CD will spin for a split second, then it
stops. Then after a moment, the system powers
off on its own. Anyone know what the problem
is here? Are there any tutorials on the internet
about fixing these CD units? Thanks for the help!

Did you ever try installing the 8PDT
Push On / Push Off switch, Keranu?
Does anyone know if this will work?

I just got Time Cruise. It looks and it
plays amazingly on the Turbo-Express!

@ MotherGunner: Do you also have the
low sound problem with your system?

My system started working normal again
after I fixed the low sound volume last
night; but now, the display is suddenly
not working again. I definitely plan to look
deeper into the problem. Thanks for the
website link, Rolins.

Thanks for your insight, Rolins. I think you're on the
right track about an energy conversion problem. The
batteries I was using were brand new, (and work just
fine in my other Turbo-Express), but it seems like the
malfunctioning TE just isn't using the energy properly.

I talked to the person that I bought the unit from. He
said that the unit worked fine using the multi-adapter
he tried on it. Now, that concerns me. I mean, who
knows what voltage he used, right? Anyhow, I don't
have the proper TE adapter, so I tried the only one
that I have that will fit the hole, my Lynx adapter. It
is listed at 9V, (the TE says 7V on the side), and has
the same polarity as the TE. I was concerned about
making the situation worse by trying it, but it's already
broken, so I figured, why not. Anyhow, the unit starts
up great using the Lynx adapter. But I didn't run it
for long, because I was concerned about burning out
the system.

Ideally, I'd like to get the proper adapter for this
system, and see if it will work. My fear is that the
previous owner overloaded the AC adapter with too
much Voltage by using the wrong adapter. I can only
guess that this ruined some of the components on the
PCB, so now the power isn't regulated properly, and
so using internal batteries just won't give it enough
voltage anymore. Anyone understand electronics
enough to know what might be replaceable inside
to fix this problem? I've taken my old TE apart to
fix the low sound problem (works wonderfully now!),
so I'm sure I could fix it, if someone knows which
component is dead. Also, I suspect that even if I try
the right adapter for the TE, it already needs 9 Volts
to function (because of existing damage to the PCB).
But if I use 9 Volts, it'll be on a fast lane to the grave.
So I've got a dilemma. Now that I think about it, the
system takes 6 batteries, which are about 1.5 volts
each, so that would amount to 9 Volts total. So I
wonder why the adapter input is listed as 7 Volts?

Does anyone have a unit with a similar problem?
Rolins, have you tried using an AC adapter to start
up your system? Perhaps in both our units, the
battery to system power connection is the problem.
I'm very curious to know if your system would work
just fine using the proper AC adapter. Does anyone
regularly run their TE using a 9V adapter, without
any ill effects to the system? Thanks for your help!

I've bought a turbo express recently. When
I turn it on, I can hear the game playing,
and the screen lights up slightly, but there
is no image on the screen. All that I can see
is an uneven vague brightness, (purplish
around the borders), that sadly cannot be
adjusted by using the brightness control.
If I look at the screen from an extreme
angle, the brightness looks more constant,
but I still cannot make out anything on the
screen. Is there any hope? Is the screen
dead? Is the pcb video component burned
out? Maybe the brightness dial is broken?
Has any of you had this problem before?

Back on topic, thanks for your suggestions, everyone.
I've had the chance to pick up Legendary Axe I & II,
Bonk's Adventure, and Parasol Stars. I am happy to
say that they all play brilliantly on the Turbo Express.

Hello-

I bought a Turbo Grafx a few months back, and have really
enjoyed playing it.  Just recently, I acquired a Turbo Express,
because I was looking forward to enjoying the same HuCards
when I'm traveling. But I think I got spoiled playing my Turbo
Grafx on the TV, because all my games look horribly shrunken
down and pixelated, when I play them on my Turbo Express.
Of the half dozen games I have, the most playable is Klax,
and that's because there's an option to increase the resolution,
for people that have their systems attached to a monitor. So
taking advantage of this option makes the game details much
easier to see, and thus makes the game more enjoyable.

So this leads into my questions:

1) What other games can you also turn up the resolution in, to
make them more playable on the Turbo Express?

2) Even is they don't have the above option, Which games are
most enjoyable on the Turbo Express, despite the big loss in
resolution (any game with much reading, I would assume would
be very frustrating.)

I would appreciate any recomendations you all have for me!
I look forward to expanding my TG-16 library, with a focus
towards maximum enjoyment on my Turbo Express.
