Question?

Does the PC-FX six button pad work with the PCE?

Thank you

I use a hi quality CD storage case and it works perfectly, just make sure all your cards are in plastic sleeves to protect the teeth obviously. The cards sit perfectly at the bottom nice and snug and dont move, you can pick up a 100 storage case cheap and its about the size of a piece of a4 paper.

Not been around these parts for sometime so if this has been previously posted i apologise. I only stumbled across it this morning.

An F-Zero caravan stage racer and it looks pretty impressive for an unfinished game.

Those covers are fantastic, Imagine iof you printed a new turbo console but with cd drive in the molding, what a mod that would be

Quote from: galam on 10/22/2014, 10:27 AMawesome, do you get to keep that?
I can keep the old one that was swapped out yes, the old one was a white card.
#10
Spy vs spy is outlawed on the speed development circuit ha ha, No sadly although i have many MS games i dont own any on card.

Quote from: YANDMAN on 10/22/2014, 10:20 AMI work for an engineering company and we just received a data upgrade for a machine and it came loaded on a Turbo Chip and then i find out the machine obviously has  a card slot.

Weird media for 2104 but interesting someone still makes them.
Following up on Necro's comment...

Do you have a Sega Card to compare it to?

I suggest inserting Spy vs. Spy into the engine currently being developed.
#11
FUCK really sorry to hear your bad news man, That is harsh
#12
We build largely race engines or just fast engines for various vehicles and this data card is for a emissions tester.

I love it but im really not very good at it, I love shooters but just cant click with this one it continually smashed me to pieces but that in itself is still fun.

Holaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa welkommen mine freund
#17
I am turbo..........Now repeat after me

Everything about the Turbo Grafx-16 is awesome from the system, The design the colour scheme, The bold logo's the advertising ahhhhhhhh awesome
#18
I have actually compiled a DVD of all commercials, TYrade shows and anythign else i could find on the Turbo here is one of my favourite adverts:
#19
I waited for years to find one of these at a good price eventually getting an import version.............Which sadly no longer works so if anyone has a nice cheap one let me know :)
#20
I keep mine in a cd wallet, yes the compartments are obviously bigger but it keeps them fine and the plastic is a type of anti-static so no way it can harm your cards at all.
#21
I fell in love with it from a picture in a comic book, The name alone filled my young mind with endless visions of Turbo powered games, TG16, Turbo-Grafx 16 just sounds so cool.
#22
I swapped my kids for Soldier blade and parasol stars complete in box.

All the carnival games were used in tournaments, Ive heard they even had big tour coaches that would move around with all the systems set up inside, Hudson soft were running tournaments with star soldier on the famicom Naxat Soft then came out with Recca to enable them to run their own tournaments.........and so the yearly carnival games began.

Quote from: rtyper on 02/26/2014, 07:38 AMCollectors are not going to re-circulate this stuff back into the community.....
It happens all the time when collectors need money to pay rent, get a root canal, buy some other shiny bauble they can't afford, etc.

This January just passed i have snagged me the most bargains i have ever snagged, It was obviously because of the post Christmas cash flow and the continued economic world mess, So i agree with you there does come a point where people will be forced to sell certain things, Sometimes they start them high and don't move some times they start low and you get an incredible deal, I bought Parasol stars tg16 version complete in box for £12 one of my nicest deals to date.
#27
For every game sold is another one less in circulation, Lots more people are awakening to the Turbo every day, They are realising that the console they saw as an also ran is totally awesome and then the buying frenzy begins, The Turbo will eventually i think reach a dizzy height like the Neo Geo obviously games wont reach those crazy prices but the demand will increase and increase, Im in the u.k and if you guys stateside think games are expensive try buying them here........Well you have to find some first.

Quote from: guest on 02/17/2014, 06:18 PMAny particular genre you're interested in?  My votes for Dungeon Explorer, Hatris, Cadash, Soldier Blade, and the three Bonks.
Isn't Soldier Blade and the three Bonks a kids fairytale ?

Rad Racer is brilliant Victory run is not, I do play it from time to time but its no Rad Racer its just that stupid cornering physic.
#30
Victory run has such awkward cornering physics that its retarded, You never actually turning on the plain of the road like every other racing game in existence, It looks pretty nice and i love the changing lighting but this cornering ruins it, Outrun obviously brilliant and a must purchase but it isn't a racing sim none of these are the closest you will get is F1 Circus.

Quote from: guest on 02/08/2014, 01:56 PMThat was a great commercial. But why didn't they just stick with the Gunhed  title? And create better box art? I'm telling you, the NEC/Hudson/TTI marketing team needs its ass kicked!!
Gunhed was a tie-in with a manga/anime (don't remember which) and I suppose it would have meant licensing fees etc. I'm sure a few gfx were changed to take any references to the Gunhed manga/anime out. Box art is a different story though...I can't excuse that.
Uhhhhhhhhh 'Gunhed'

Quote from: guest on 02/07/2014, 10:16 PMThe first Zelda advert was bizarre. Some dude running through a dark hallway or something going tek - tek !
It was the second one i was thinking of:
#33
This is maybe a little less known but its totally great:
#34
I absolutely love all old video game adverts they are brilliant and the Turbo ones especially this one are some of the best, This is when you used to look at things with actual anticipation and excitement......They never get old.

You notice the current Zelda advert has retorted back to live action like all the classic ads were.
#35
Im begining to wonder if i imagined it.......Perhaps im supposed to program it or something?

Quote from: Flare65 on 02/02/2014, 01:23 AMIf you have a psp, check out the Thexder remake called Thexder Neo.
Holy cow im on it yes i do got a psp
#37
Nope i have grandzor, Damn it this is bugging me but thank you for all your suggestions.
#38
Nope its not heavy unit, Its a multi direction scroller, You can walk either left or right and your down in some sort of caverns as a robot you have a type of homing lazer just like thexder but you can flip into a ship and get up to higher areas, heavy Unit on the megadrive is awesome, heavy unit on the engine is not so much.
#39
Hi guys

Can anyone help with a possible game title, i saw a game that im sure was on the pc engine could of possibly been a cd game but it looked very like thexder, Robot mech that could morph into a spaceship to fly about , Side scrolling type affair, I wanted to get it but cannot remember for the life of me the title.

Thanks

In  batman comic book in 1990.........Ahh that beautiful advert
#41
Hmm not sure i thought i paid £1 for it
#42
Impossible to say, all completely different, Shadow dancer is the best representation of the original Shinobi arcade as far as game mechanics go and that is my favourite game pretty much ever, Ninja gaiden 2 and 3 are fantastic, uhhhhhhhhhhh Shinobi 3 is amazing as is Ninja spirit  ...........Oh im going with Shadow dancer
#43
You can still lose weapon power ups by getting clipped, I think the life bar just comes into play on a boss battle, Ive never really paid it too much attention.
#44
Im surprised it hasnt surfaced here before, Like i said ive been running it in an arcade cabinet for about two years, But yes it is really impressive imagine if people had programmed this back in 87' it would of been mind blowing.
#45
Ok Ok but it does have obvious traits of the game, Its been released in 2013 and its a dollar, I think its fun.
#46
This game is probably about two years old now and im sure some of you may be aware of it but a quick search didnt show up any posts so ill share it, Its a homebrew on the NES and is basically a 2minute caravan section of Soldier Blade its really good and should definitely be featured on the next gamesack Home brew episode :)

It was a cross promotion thing.
#48
Sinistar had a 49 way joystick....THE END!
#49
No it really doesn't, I play dead moon a lot i like it, But its graphics are pretty average, The video looks a lot clearer than they are, When playing its got that fuzzy'ness that dead moon has and the power ups and weapons and backgrounds are all really similar.
