Localization Legend "Supper the Subtitler" has "joined the club" in being targeted for CD-pressings by bootleg master Tobias/PCEWorks! His projects like Private Eyedol, Galaxy Fräulein Yuna 1 & 2, etc. are now being sold on Chinese factory-pressed CDROMs... ![]() |

Quote from: Bernie on 08/01/2013, 06:00 AMHmm. I don't have a TE, so I cant mess with it. I don't remember if there are settings you can adjust or not.The menus using the same everdrive look fine when I use them in my white PC Engine console.
Quote from: turbokon on 07/31/2013, 08:55 AMSome of us on here that can do this also, thesteve, bluebmw, keithcourage and myself just to name a few.Thanks. If my friend cannot do it maybe I can ask one of you (in Europe) to do it for me ?
Quote from: Bernie on 08/01/2013, 12:47 AMOK, you got the organization down. Lol. Now, how are your ROMs named? If you are using a ROM set you downloaded, and the name is long and has all the underscores in it, that could be the issue. They are long names, but even the root (JAPAN, USA etc..) looks awful. It all looks squished.

Quote from: turbokon on 07/31/2013, 06:48 AMYou should at least get all the caps replaced!Haha, yeah as soon as I find someone who will do it for me. When I'm back from my holidays i'll talk to a friend of mine who is pretty amazing at soldering and stuff as he is a technician.
Quote from: turbokon on 07/30/2013, 04:28 PMThe TE is my favorite handheld console, even more so after its been modded. Here is mine modded with component video output and an external controller port. Modded, the TE is the best handheld/home console ever:)And I can see you changed the standard LCD to a larger one too. Awesomeness !!!
Quote from: Tatsujin on 07/15/2013, 08:20 PMTotally! I have almost every console and if I want to generalize I actually prefer the PCE to many consoles I have owned as a kid like the PS1, Saturn and NES.Quote from: dougal on 07/15/2013, 05:40 PMThough I would probably say my favorites for exclusives would be 1st the SNES, 2nd Mega Drive and very VERY close 3rd the PCE.Blasphemer
But it ranked very high conidering you have absolute no nostalgic feelings for it. So I would assume, that PCE would be your absolute #1 if you had it back in time.
Quote from: PunkCryborg on 06/13/2013, 04:42 PMyou could also try testing it through a vcr that has rf in and rf and av out to the tvOn the 32inch LCD TV ? I can try later on and see what happens
Quote from: SuperDeadite on 06/11/2013, 11:22 AMRGB is RGB, it is not NTSC nor PAL. Hence if you use RGB you will never have the black and white issue.OK cool but the mod looks too risky for me to do with my limited soldering skills.
Quote from: SuperDeadite on 06/11/2013, 11:17 AMMy Super Famicom is connected via RGB and it works fine.Quote from: soop on 06/11/2013, 11:10 AMAre you high?Quote from: SuperDeadite on 06/11/2013, 11:04 AMShouldn't matter while he's using AVQuote from: dougal on 06/11/2013, 10:22 AMJust received my first ever PC Engine today.Where do you live? This sounds like you're trying to play the NTSC PCE on a PAL TV.
It works fine and has a clear picture and good sound but its in black and white only. I tried AV and RF.
AV is horrible but AV is good, clear but black and white.
I made a home made cable following this guide ---> http://www.cgquarterly.com/articles/tg16_cable.htm
To the op, considering where you live, I'd do an RGB mod I was you. You'll notice a big difference, and then not have to worry about which TVs over there support NTSC
Quote from: soop on 06/11/2013, 10:29 AMIs the sound working?Yes but through the AV pins, not RF
Quote from: Tatsujin on 05/23/2013, 01:01 AMBtw. are you from UK?Nope.... Malta
Quote from: esadajr on 05/22/2013, 11:07 PMwelcome to the PCEFX jungle!
try to play SFII with the regular controller, it's more fun that way.
I agree with the others. get some real hueys. Get shmups.
I wasn't too much into shmups until I played Parodius on the PCE.
