The discs showed up in the mail today, thank you so much Bernie, Blue and whoever else involved.
They look pretty awesome, now i do not have to buy an original copy of Dracula :)

Do you have the issue of cvg with the street fighter 2 review. I don't know if it was the copy i had but i remember the screen shots were a messed up color. It was the only screen shots i saw of the game so i thought it was a terrible port of the game lol.
#3
Yeah I could see them getting pretty scratched up in a spindle too.

Nice, I like the DVD cases because of the printed covers. Space is not really a problem, I just like stuff neat and organized.

Sup,
I recently bought a loose cotton disk from ebay, I got it for half the cost of one in the case.
I was thinking about putting my loose disks in a paper cd sleeve, then printing the front cover and using clear tape to stick it to the back so the cd art would still be visible.
So how do you store your loose cd-roms?
I want some more ideas, pics are even better haha!!

Same here, not a huge fan but there is a few games i like. my fav for the 2600 is gravitar, such a great game. I can waste hours playing it.

I still have my Drum n Bass vinyl collection from the early 2000's that i will never sell. I also have a small collection of 70s-80s rock.
I just recently picked up an sl-1210 that im in the process of stripping down and painting.
Im not really into buying more records anymore though, i want to use it with timecoded vinyl.
I just want it for the nostalgia haha!!!

Quote from: Jinxed on 08/16/2015, 12:55 AM"What would've been a lot or excessive in your frame of mind then?"
How would i know, if he sold the items for the going rate whats the problem.
You ask "How would I know?" in response to what would be "a lot" or "excessive" in your mind, yet you confidently claimed this was all just a guy making "a little money" with first going for a 2,000% markup on his friend, but getting a 1,750% markup with a stranger... Apparently don't care that the grandma didn't get the "going rate" but it was great that he scored it at the expense of his friend and his cables...

Quote from: Jinxed on 08/16/2015, 12:55 AMApart from selling his cables was there any laws broken? no.
Who the hell said there was a law broken and why should moral or ethical judgement be limited to whether or not his actions are considered legal or illegal by any government ?? Pffft.

Once again, attempting to shut down any criticism and now based on selectively bringing legality into a simple judgment on a "friend's" actions... Weird.

"Uh, durrr, well, well, um, it wasn't illegal, so, yeah, lay off the guy!!!"

Yeah, great argument... This is about if his friend is a dick or not. I say yes!

Quote from: Jinxed on 08/16/2015, 12:55 AMIm not a reseller!!
Not a reseller, but sure are willing to be a reseller apologist!
lol you come off a real idiot and i think you missed the point of my post.

when i say "If you cant afford it dont buy it, its not the end of the world." I was speaking from my point of view not anyone elses.
it is how i feel when it comes to purchasing things.
There are plenty of games i would like to buy, castlevania and some other cd games for example but there is no way i can justify spending $1000 plus for a handfull of games. Its not the end of the world, owning these items are not going to change my life. someone else owns them and keeps them safe on a shelf.....good at least they will be preserved.

you have different ideas on whats morally right or wrong, thats life buddy get over it.
anyway say what ever im done discussing it with you, i did not mean to
offend anyone in my first comment.

wow i can tell you have very strong feelings on this subject haha!!
"What would've been a lot or excessive in your frame of mind then?"
How would i know, if he sold the items for the going rate whats the problem. Apart from selling his cables was there any laws broken? no.

"While thinly veiled, this is in actuality just the ole "just shut up" argument every last reseller resorts to in order to escape criticism, shut down commentary, etc. Don't like the price, don't buy it, and just shut about it, quit your whining, no negative comments allowed, etc."

Im not a reseller!!

yeah selling you're cables was a douche move for sure but whats wrong with a guy making a little money if he got a deal on something. who are you all kidding, most of us would do the same.
i once found some genesis games on kijiji for cheap, i bought them for my friend who i knew wanted them but could not afford them at the time, he turned around and sold them like a few months later, meh what ever its not worth losing friends over.
There is a local guy in saskatoon who hits up the garage sales for video games stuff to re-sell, i picked up a nice condition atari lynx 2 with a game for like $40. He made a little money and i got an item i wanted without all the hassle, i have no problem with that.
At the end of the day we have to remember they are only material items, we dont need them. If you cant afford it dont buy it, its not the end of the world.

Hana taka daka(long nose goblin) is another cool cute em up.
#14
I agree, and its far from perfect. But i like the high definition and the convenience of emulators on the wii.
#15
Got myself a Scanline generator HD to use with my wii. Works pretty good, definitely worth the money imo.

QuoteOne of my favorite handhelds back in the day.  And it seems that the games for it are very reasonably priced.  Try hunting down Warbirds and Gates of Zendicon!  I spent a lot of time playing those back in the day!
Gates of zendicon, nice i could not remember the name of that one. i had friends with lynx's when i was younger and that's one of the games i used to play the shit out of.
#20

It came with electro cop which is ok, I plan to pick up gauntlet and california games in the near future.

That is awesome! :)  So simple yet so elegant lol!
It's simple, but I wouldn't say "elegant"...

...for "elegant" he would need some lace.

Or at least a paper doily.
lmao

Quote from: JapanTokei on 03/01/2015, 05:14 AMoh WOW!  That's one nice lot you picked up!!  how much was it in its entirety + shipping just curious?  Congrats on getting a Coryoon :)
I paid $650 canadian shipped from ebay, tough putting up that much money but worth it i think. I got 75 hu-cards in total, all decent games with no doubles.
And the guy put some japanese candies in the box too!
Im a happy chap :)
#30
So i picked up a game lot, they were delivered a couple of days ago.
super happy as i got a few games i would not normally be able to afford.

yes it plays fine, not sure how it compares to the official release.
#32

yeah its nice to have in the collection, i have an original aeroblaster on the way too.
#33
Picked this up with a bunch of games a while back, never seen hu-cards like this before.
Im guessing its a bootleg, anyone have any info on it?

#34
yep, try
Quote from: guest on 02/15/2015, 02:29 PMI would toss the sleeve and wash the HuCard with dish soap and a sponge. Make sure to thoroughly rinse and immediately towel dry it afterward.
yep this seems to work, i think the detergent neutralizes any acids left on the cards. same goes for damage from storing in a business card holder.
#37
I had my hu-cards in one of these, looks like it may have done something similar to some of mine.
it looks like the plastic softens the clear coat on the cards, i wiped them down with a damp tissue and left them with tissue in between each. i think it may be hardening a little, not sure yet as it has only been a week since i took them out.

this thread should be stickied, there must be lots of people storing there hu cards this way
#38
yeah i have no clue what im looking at haha.

tbh i was really hoping i could just tap in to pc engines power somewhere
#39
Is that hard to do, whats involved?
#40
yes i was planing on running the av from the ext port. is there anywhere i can tap into 9v being as the pc engine runs off 9v
#41
sorry im gonna use a core grafx i think.
im not sure if it will run on 5v, it did not run on 4.3v
#42
Hi,
I've Been lurking on the forums for a while now. I had a pc engine core grafx when i was a kid in the early 90's. I could not afford a big collection back then so now im building my collection haha. I have a white pc engine with about 40 games so far.

Anyway, i want to build a semi portable pc engine. It's still going to run off the power brick but its going to have a 4.3" screen and controller built in. i want to use a thick piece of clear plastic and have the screen behind, it will be cool to be able to see the pc engines circuit board. it's mainly going to be running a turbo everdrive.

so I already got a screen from ebay, it's a 12v car reverse screen. it seems to run good on 6v, so is it possible to wire it straight into to pc engine and if so where would i take power from?
Thanks
