Just did the Sound Fix that D-Lite proposed...while the sound problem hasn't gotten any worse, it hasn't seemed to have gotten any better, either.  I've replaced the 2 sound output capacitors and one of the input capacitors...I guess I'll just have to replace the other one and see if it works.  But in case it doesn't....are there any other known reasons for the CD sound crapping out on Duos?

According to D-lite, I have a mixture of problem 1 and problem 2.  I started out with 2, but it's degenerated into 1.  Now, if I can just learn how to solder...

I was playing Shapeshifter, and the CD sountracks cut out all of a sudden and wouldn't load.  The sound affects would play, and the game played alright, but no CD tracks.  I took it out and put in Lords of Thunder: same thing.  I tried every one of my Duo CD games...no CD sound.  Tried out a HuCard: all sound loads fine.  What's wrong?  Did a transistor burn out or something?  I just got this thing, and now I'm really bummed if I won't get to play LoT with music... :oops:

I was thinking about that...I've read some other threads on this board about soaking a PCE shell in bleach with great results, but I don't know how it would react with the vinyl.  If I had an extra, torn up one, I would test that, but I'm short. ;_;

I'm new.  Hello to everyone; forgive my newbieness.  Anyway, my question...

I just got a Turbo Duo bundle,  and everything is mint/fine...except that a couple of the vinyl Hucard covers are yellowed to a nasty piss color.  Is there any way to safely bleach/clean them?
