I managed to pick up a copy for £65 last year (mint condition too), and I almost baulked at paying that. 12 months later and it seems to be selling for almost double.

It's a dangerous thing as it kind of supports this thing in my head that if I want it, then I'll just have to buy it. These things don't seem to be getting any cheaper.

So, basically I am part of the problem

I just splashed out money on Soldier Blade (ouch!) and Psycho Chaser (cheap).

Soldier Blade is one of my favourite games ever, and it's not getting any cheaper, so I thought why not

[Console Repair/Mod Center / Anyone UK based who repairs Super CD Rom2 systems?]

So I only bought my Super CD Rom a couple of months ago (eBay, sadly), and it's started being quite unreliable.

* The music cuts out on certain games (usually title screens, but some in games stuff too)

* Sometimes the CD wont spin around at all, so the game wont load

I'm no techie genius, so I don't know the exact problem although a bit of research suggests things like cogs and capacitors ... is there anyone on the forum, UK based, who offers a repair service?

Mine has started having similar problems (although with official games) and sometimes the disc won't spin around either annoying as I've only had it a couple of months and I have some Dracula x to play!

Now to find someone in the UK who can repair it

Bought my first ever PC Engine last week, a Core Grafx2 with a Super CDROM2. Cost me a bit too much really but bothered.

Then went and bought a bunch of hucards, R-Type, Fantasy Zone, Peachboy, Jackie Chan & New Zealand Story.

Can't wait to get playing with this (after an RGB mod, of course)
