honestly, im just trying to get my post count up and saw this mega thread..

 i mean i think its pretty ignorant to pay $1200+ for a hucard, that just says GOLD on it, i mean it has no significance outside japan or playability and its not even a cool looking game ? it just has a bee on it ? ..

its almost like if it was magical or something and granted the cardholder instant cool-ness, backstage access at the movie theaters, or willy wonkas chocolate factory.

I would bid on the gold famicom super bomberman cart instead of this one IMHO...

Compared to this one-in-a-million rarity, Time Gal is common as dirt. Power League is a baseball game released by Hudson for the PC Engine. According to the sign that Super Potato affixed to this game, the childrens' comic magazine Coro Coro Comic ran a drawing and gave out just 100 copies of All-Star Power League, which presumably has been altered to feature a lineup of the hottest Japanese baseball players of the late '80s.

With only 100 in existence and only one up for sale, this tiny lump of silicon and plastic is the most expensive game in all of Tokyo. The slip of paper inside the case is the original documentation, which has likely bumped up the price of this copy considerably.

I recently rolled the dice on an as-is a US tg-16 with cdrom, it powers on, PC,  all LEDs work, runs the hue card, detects lid opening , and the gear seems to operate smoothly, but no disc spin, it appears to be a KS220A from what i can tell, i was totally surprised it even powers on , being manufactured in january 1990 , when i was just 5 years old , so i still think i got a good deal considering the base system still plays hucards fine including the carry case and r-type..

I found a classified add on ebay offering repair including Replacement of lens gears, capacitors, lens motor replacement, broken wiring or connections, and potentiometer adjustment.  - $55  USD  An extra $25 will be added if you need a replacement CD lens.

for $80 + you pay shipping there and back... , compared to what other people would pay or offer do you think this is a fair price(with ebay fees of course)  + you handling shipping to and from?

Wouldn't you replace the lens and motor would all be one unit ? ..

~ let me know what you guys think.. or if there's any counter offers, id be interested to hear from the experts if this is fair.

i picked up a rev 1 board from turbokon, but hes out on vacation atm,  so i wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue im running into...

I am using a PEXHDCAP capture card, and the picture does show up albeit dark , however as soon as i start any game play it seems it flickers and looses signal , like im draining the power as i hit the controller buttons.. i am currently testing with one game blazing lasers.

The software I am using is amerec and stream catcher and they seem to have the same issue. a strobe affect that cuts the picture off..

My settings on the capture device are 720x240 YUY2 59 FPS

I checked the voltages and seems to be low compared to some of the posts ive read.. so i dont think its a compatability issue..

I wonder if the new circuit design will help here.

heres my DMM Input readings

Sync = 4.94v
G  = 4.16v
R = 4.15v
B = 4.2 v
5v = 5.00v

Output
Y = 901mV
Pr = 2.88v
Pb = 2.61v


I am using this on a north american TG-16, after crafting my own crimp housing with jumper cables to the expansion port, so im wondering if theres any improvement in the new design that might help me here.

I don't have any other CRT to test except VGA, and a composite upscaler, so im looking around for someone who might have one to test.  I am also wondering if its a length issue of my component cables.
