10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

cause there was no reply (hmm, why is that so...)
I only wanted to say, that this adapter also works.

the size 5,50 x 2,50 also works for the pinout.

Hi there guys,
my newest success was to get a PCE CD-ROM Unit with the Inferface Unit and a white PCE in good condition

The complete unit needs to have a total power supply with at least 1450 mA (whooo, that much).
I only have a 800mA universal power supply. There, the CD-ROM itself alone works very fine. In combination - the hole interface works, but when inserted  the System CARD V 3.0 and i'll want to have access to the CD-ROM Unit, the CD-ROM works, but it's spins unnormal.

Guess, could this be an effect of less power supply - the "missing" mA.

Can anyone help  :?:

I don't own the original power supply (who really does?!?).
I searched the web. The help of a member here with the universal power supply at Radio Shack is good- but i'm not living in the US.

Searched local ebay and found this.
It has 5,50 x 2,50 connectors - could this also suit...

Thanks for your help in advance :)

okay, i got it just by myself - it's a problem with the upscaler / downscaler of my hdtv video projektor sanyo plv-z 3.
I guess, the signal from the pc-fx in the system menus are not broadcast constant to the beamer

On my television it works fine :)

hi there - with my "new" (mint) PC-FX System,
i have the following problem:

When i'm in the System Menu, the Memory Manger or the CD-g Player the picture flickers at the top of the screen (not every moment, but this is temporarly).
On the other side, when i'm playing games, such as Graduation, there the picture is all fine - no flickers. Works perfectly!

Can someone guess what this phenomenon is? Is it normal or do i have to get worried about my pc-fx?
If this isn't normal, how can i fix this problem?

How much is a "never used" PC-FX GA set worth of?
Or how much can i pay for such a "system".

See the attachment - can use say, how much would you pay for this?
I even down know, which one of the PC-FX GA this one really is...

UPDATE: Okay, find out myself, it's the PC-98 version - so not worth the money :D

Hi there,
i'm a new owner of a boxed "PC-FX" gamestation :)
Got it luckily for little money (~90$)  with one game - "Graduation 2: Neo Generation FX".
It's a very good 32bit system, with lots of potential. Very bad, that NEC has quit this great work...

My question:
where to get new stuff for my pc-fx? can anyone help out?
do you know good shops, sources?
