Localization Legend "Supper the Subtitler" has "joined the club" in being targeted for CD-pressings by bootleg master Tobias/PCEWorks! His projects like Private Eyedol, Galaxy Fräulein Yuna 1 & 2, etc. are now being sold on Chinese factory-pressed CDROMs...

Received.  Fantastic quality as always, polite fella too.  Thank you Sparky.

Please add me Sparky, and thanks again.

They expanded the arcade which is a plus.  However that resulted in us getting thrown into the "storage closet" two buildings over which was a minus.

What is funny is that the room we were set up in was next to a really big room which  instead became Chop's lair.

Maybe next time we will be able to set all the TV's and chairs up in that one.

Still was easy to have a great time though.

Thanks for the good times everyone.

Count me in I'll probably pick up PP at the same time since I somehow kept putting that off.

As far as collector/limited editions go I thought the Bravely Default one was really nice for the extra $10

Signed. but....

He will be back.

Ignore doesn't work unless everyone were to ignore him b/c he just derails every thread.  Regal all over again.

He reminds me of Jaime Kennedy from that dumb movie Malibu's Most Wanted.

Spreadsheet or notepad.  I end up having a few different ones on the computer instead of a universal list though.
#14
3DS

Zelda ALBW
Fire Emblem Awakening
Super Mario 3D Land
Mario Kart 7
Luigi's Mansion 2
Zelda OoT and Starfox ports

There is also 3 or 4 Shin Magami games

Soon

Bravely Default
Yoshi New Island

So all Nintendo games or RPGs for me.

I do think I will get a Vita sometime late this year though.  If you have a PS3/PS4 and you subscribe to PS+ you can get a whole lot of free games for both systems which is nice.

PS+ isn't free but the free games change across the 3 sony systems every month.

I agree on Split Second.

Also I really liked Midnight Club 2 on PS2, I'm not sure how the rest of the series turned out but maybe look into that series as well.

I only remember some of the past issues.  However if they can watch that rap video and still hate on you this close to Christmas, then it is clear to me they just don't have souls.  It sold me.

You and P-Rico are number one on my list of upcoming music acts in 2014.

Dungeon Explorer.  Great title screen music and you get into the action right away.

Here are my updates

Knack -- I couldn't get into it.  I really liked it a lot at first but it just failed to hold my interest.  I played it for about 5-6 hours and just sold it for what i paid for it.  I really liked the animation and colors but couldn't really get into the game play.  I was probably about half way through on hard.  I think it might be slightly more enjoyable with a second person.

Contrast -- I think this game may have been rushed just to have something free for PS+ at launch.  It is short it doesn't control well, there are tons of glitches and the puzzles are fairly basic.  I think given more time they could have had something with the moving in shadows concept.  If anyone is a trophy person this one wouldn't be to hard to get 100% but there is no platinum.  The setting is interesting in like a fictional 1920's city.

Resogun -- as we have all said really fun.  I have saved all the humans on all the stages and my try to casually platinum it like munch.  I really liked the last stage a lot.

Call of Duty -- if your not into the series this one certainly isn't going to change your mind but the big promises pre-release were the dog, the squads mode, and dynamic maps and I feel all of those have come up short.  As I mentioned earlier I think the spawning is as bad as any multi-player shooter I have ever played.

Battlefield 4 -- is my go to shooter right now.  It plays a touch slower than Cod and I like that the maps are bigger so that I can get into long distance gun fights.  I also like the vehicles and enjoy 3 game modes conquest, TDM, and rush.  I figure I will be playing this one for a while.  Single player is not worth anything on this one.

I still have only played Assasins Creed IV, Killzone, and NBA sparingly but I will probably start ACIV this weekend.

Two December digital games I have my eye on are Escape Plan which is a vita title from last year but I have yet to play it and Doki Doki Universe, but I will have to see exactly what that one is about.

This is one  of the best games for the system.  Likely in my top 10 as well.

Just really fun to play with great colors and music.

Quote from: hizaygizirlz on 11/25/2013, 08:41 PMI got one as well.

I only planned to get ghosts and wait for some more exclusives next year but b/c of the B2G1F sale i somehow ended up with:
-CoD Ghosts
-Battlefield 4
-Killzone SF
-Knack
-Assasins Creed IV BF
-NBA 2K14

and the two free games.

Thats probably it for me for the next 4 months
I have played CoD the most about 20-25 hours.  I have only dabbled in the others except for Knack and Battlefield which I haven't played yet.

The spawning in CoD is as bad as ever I sometimes die 3x in 15 or less seconds and I am not that reckless.

After this week I am going to switch to Battlefield which I think will be my main multi-player game for a few months and I will start Knack in the next few days.

Resogun is great though like others have said.

Alone in the Dark is one that hasn't been mentioned yet.

Also steam is having a sale on Halloween themed games until Nov 1st, so anyone w/ a steam account should check it out.

Didn't one of the NES RPGs have a manual you needed to dip in water or something?  I like the items that force some kind of interactivity. Well played.
that was star tropics, cool idea bad for people who rented the game

Oh, Hexen too.
I came back in here to say Haunted House and Ghost Manor.  I'm sure there are a few others on Atari, but a lot of great games have been mentioned already.

I just thought of a funny one that used to scare me when I was little.  Tunnel Runner for 2600.  When the music changed from calming to creepy and that big face came after you.

Edited: to mention another game that used to scare me with a music change when I played late at night, but definitely not scary  Fairy Tale Adventure for Genesis.  It was very calming exploring the countryside and as soon as enemies were coming they played a loud guitar rift type of sound.

And a game for this gen that I thought was really scary and two more randoms

Condemned Criminal Origins (XBOX360)
Dracula Unleashed (Sega CD)
Dracula Undead (Lynx)

Quote from: hizaygizirlz on 10/27/2013, 10:28 PMi decided to play the Resident Evil on 3DS.  It is an OK game but not very scary I should have picked something else.

There are a few scary moments though. The time I jumped the worse was when I thought my AI teammate came through the door into the room w/ me and when I went to exit the room he rushed through and scared the heck out of me.
Are you talking about RE Revelations !? I heard it's a good one and it's better then RE6 at least.Eariler in the year it was ported to the Wii U,360,PS3 and PC.I been thinking about buying it i just haven't got around to it still.
Yeah that is the one, i haven't played 6 my usual co-op guy is MIA so i put that on the back burner but i heard it was bad.

This one is OK the environments are interesting but since you have a partner and don't really worry about ammo it is more like 5 which i liked than any of the other ones which were outstanding.  It is also fairly linear.

I'd say just wait for a 10-15$ sale on the console/pc version and give it a shot.

Last few weeks for me.

Double Dragon -- couldn't quite finish it ill try again soon

Rescue the Embassy Mission -- fun but to short to hold your attention for to long the first of the 3 screens is the best

NES Play Action Football -- always liked it even though the players move painfully slow, returning kicks and interceptions is a blast

Robin Hood -- nice action RPG would have finished but I forgot the continues are limited

I just picked up Ghost Lion I doubt it will be anything that holds my interest but I never played it and it has been on my list for a long time
#38
If you don't need money don't do it you will regret it.  Many of us have tons of games we haven't passed someday you will find the time.
#39
I liked FFXIII.  It was one of those games I got to the end and never finished but I had fun with what was there and liked the battle system.  It is very linear for the most part.  Only one area I can remember with side activities/quests

Other good RPGs

Fallout 3/ New Vegas
Oblivion / Skyrim
Mass Effect 1-2-3
Ni No Kuni Wraith of the Witch

Heavy Rain is a good exclusive I haven't seen mention yet
3D Dot Game Heroes is fun

Dishonored was a great new IP from last year can be played stealthy or Rambo style

Guacamelee  mentioned above was a great 10ish hour game for the $15 price tag

You already have Last of Us on your post but if your play multi-player games give it a shot the learning curve is high but it is really fun

Quote from: guest on 09/23/2013, 06:20 PMI thought long and hard on it, but decided to just get the Limited Edition version of the game when it's released.  I've already preordered it from Gamestop at least so I won't have to pay gouge prices.  Maybe around Thanksgiving/Christmas I'll actually pick up a Wii U.  If you've bought one already though, I heard Target is doing Buy 2 Get 1 on all Wii U games.
That is really nice I would have done that.  When they said the LE Wind Waker was a gamestop exclusive I always thought they meant the bundle.  When I saw other places selling the bundles I thought the gamestop exclusiveness  was incorrect info.  That seems like a really cool bundle for $60
#41
If it was a physical copy of the game I'd be in for sure but being digital I'm staying on the fence at least through black Friday.  The system and packaging looks really nice though.

The top shelf Wii U stuff also seems to be rolling out now.
-New Super Mario Bros Wii U
-Pikmin
-Wonderful 101
-Wind Waker
-Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (soon)
-Super Mario 3D World (soon)

+ a few others that seem interesting but might not appeal to everyone.  Really believe now is a great time to jump aboard the Wii train.

That football game looks absolutely terrible.  No way they are getting that much money per investor for a sports game of all genres.  Way better stuff on kick starter to support.
#43
I played through this and really liked it.  I didn't remember much of the original just certain enemies and environments.  The two biggest negatives in most reviews are the difficulty which others mentioned and the long cut scenes which can be skipped.  Both of those complaints are nonsense.  The overall average for this game should be much higher I think they accomplished what they wanted with the remake.

Here is a good one.  VGA graded Pac-Land.  You can get it sealed on Ebay for $50 shipped from two other sellers right now, and grade it yourself if your into that thing and still save $400+ I would imagine.

If you wait I bet Pac-Lands come up all the time sealed for $30-40 to further enhance the savings.
