Localization Legend "Supper the Subtitler" has "joined the club" in being targeted for CD-pressings by bootleg master Tobias/PCEWorks! His projects like Private Eyedol, Galaxy Fräulein Yuna 1 & 2, etc. are now being sold on Chinese factory-pressed CDROMs...

Quote from: LeeTI'm not sure whether you are aware, but RG has returned from the grave - Imagine Publishing bought the title late last year and relaunched it - Its now up to Issue 23.  It looks a lot more professional and there is a better balance between 8-bit computers and consoles.  Its worth trying to track a copy down.

no way! I had no idea. Last I heard the remnants of the last issue were being sold on a "homemade" CD-ROM by the folks who created the content (and were never paid).

You mean Retro Survival?  A few weeks after that was released, RG was relaunched.  A fair few of the old freelancers still write for RG.

Well I received the RGB to SCART socket this morning and its still the same!  :(

Looks like a mod might be in order after my forthcoming holiday!

Any chance someone can make a vid of one of the 'Bonk' series' - I would love to add something like that to Myspace profile?

My avatar is me.  It was drawn for when I reviewed a few C64 games for a supplement that was included in 'Retro Gamer' magazine (a UK publication).  My fifteen minutes of fame!  :)

Quote from: SuperfamifreakI'm guessing the TV only has one  scart socket.

Usually on newer TV's, there is AV1 which is also the RGB socket, AV2 and composite inputs on the side or front.

I'm just guessing that his TV can't accept a 60Hz signal.

Yes my telly has one SCART socket - Tried the RGB channel and there is no picture at all (whereas the SCART channel has a b&w picture).

I've bought a SCART socket for the RGB to go into with a 'Input/Output' switch - Fingers crossed, it might work.  If not, modding will be the answer!

Thanks all!  :)

I got a few Japanese RPG's with my DUO-RX.  Yawara, Far East of Eden II and something that I can't translate (it has Vol 14 on the box was made by Atlus in 1988).

Thanks for that info - Yes I'm in the uk.  I'm not too good with techy stuff and I would probably blow up the machine, so I'll have to look for a tv that accepts both PAL and NTSC signals, I guess!  :)

I've just purchased a Turbo Duo-RX (Japanese) through eBay.  It comes with the typical red, white and yellow leads to connect to the tv.  As I have a scart connection, I used my Xbox SCART converter to link them up and I just get a black & white picture through the AV channel.

I've tried tuning it through the normal channels and get nothing.  Does anyone have any hints on what to do to get a colour picture (I'm using a Bush TV)?

Thanks in advance  :)
