10/06/2006, 11:56 AM
I really don't want to sell all this stuff, but I'm getting murdered by bills, so I must. Fear not, I will return to the realm of the PC-FX when I'm more financially stable. :) Anyways, here's what all I'm selling.

PC-FX console, w/ box, controller, and cables - $75

Super God Trooper Zeroigar, Mint condition, I bought it BRAND NEW, contains spine and reg. card. - $125

Chip Chan Kick, Mint condition, contains spine, reg. card, and the extra promo card. - $145

Battle Heat, Mint Condition - $10

Lil' Red Riding Hood - $15

Fraulien Yuna FX - $10

Shipping for the PC-FX is $20. Everything else is $5. Or you could buy EVERYTHING for $325 shipped.

Well, now I have 5 PC-FX games. They are:
Super God Trooper Zeroigar
Chip Chan Kick
Battle Heat
Lil Red Riding Hood Cha-Cha (in the mail)
Galaxy Fraulien Yuna FX (in the mail)

Chip Chan Kick is probably my favorite game so far. Followed ever so closely by Zeroigar. I haven't gotten used to Battle Heat yet... but it seems like it'd be really fun if I knew how to play it.

Looking forward to Lil Red Riding Hood though... that game looks like a blast.

Also looking forward to when I have enough money for Zenki.  8)

For future reference:

The whirlwind attack is what you must use to kill the third form.

Geez, its dead around here.  :?

So... how does one go about defeating the THIRD form of the final boss?

Need help guys. I really don't want to waste time fighting up to the third form just to figure out how to actually do damage to the bastard.

What about Nirgend? How gaijin friendly is that?  :)

Argh!!!!!! Man, I tell ya, this game is a true gem. That final boss though is pure hell!!!!

Alright, earlier today I killed the orbs section (somehow). But I only had 1 hit left, and the final form (I hope its the final form) blasted me right off the bat.

Later, I figured out that killing each individual part of the bosses yields LOTS o' points. I went from being level 11 at the final level to being level 13. I almost had the final boss this time too (I switch over to the super powerful green shot throughout the final level... its the only way...) as I had over half of my life going into him and an almost full special attack bar. So I dropped a bomb upon approach since it kills off two orbs and weakens all but one to an easy enough state to finish off.

And wouldn't ya know, the last orb standing was the yellow one. Thats right. Lightning attack. Any time I lined up to take it down, thousands of volts into ye old Zeroigar. Needless to say, the yellow orb wiped me out.

So, advice for anyone going up against the final boss of Zeroigar: Kill the yellow orb first. Yellow and red throw out the hardest to dodge attacks, the rest of them are simple enough.

I have no clue about the final form of the boss though. I didn't survive long enough to witness his attacks. Hopefully he isn't harder than the orbs though, without a bomb those things would be HELL.

Love the game though. Excellent music and the boss fights are pure class. The levels are kinda boring though... except for the mid-boss fights. Especially the "rival" mech, those fights are awesome. Though I hate the final fight against the "rival" mech. Those half-moon shots are hell. If you're having trouble, use the flame thrower when he's about the launch those, as it'll kill any shots it hits and give you more dodging room. And keep in mind:
First attack: Triple laser.
Second attack: Lightning Storm
Third Attack: Lightning Storm followed by triple laser.

In Story Mode there are 7 levels (level 0, the level shown in the videos on the site).

In Arcade Mode there are 6 levels.

PC-FX Discussion / Why FX?

Well, I JUST got my PC-FX, don't even have any games yet (Zeroigar coming in the mail tomorrow, Battle Heat in a week, and I MIGHT have a deal for Chip Chan Kick).

I think the reason I opted to go with it over the Supergrafx or the recreation of my PC-Engine collection is because its so unique. Sure, I can't enjoy a majority of the games (something I hope to correct at SOME point in my life, I'd love to be able to read Japanese), but there's several games that provide a truly unique experience that cannot be found elsewhere (Battle Heat). Also, some of the games just look fun (Zenki, Chip Chan Kick, Zeroigar, etc.)

My PC-FX came in the mail yesterday. Fairly exciting, I was always curious about this console and now I'm finally getting to check it out. Don't have any games for it YET, but I was amazed that the system had a S-Video out on it. Heh, I had to run to Best Buy and snag some nice S-Video cable so I could have the PC-FX hooked up through the switch box so it could get surround sound like the 360, Saturn, and Dreamcast.  :D

I have one game coming in the mail, Super God Trooper Zeroigar. I also have a deal lined up for Battle Heat, so I should be checking that out soon as well! I'm also planning on buying:

Zenki (Probably in a month)
Chip Chan Kick
Ruruli Ra Rura
Tengai Makyo
Fire Woman Matoi-gumi
Queen of Queens (as cheesy as it may look)
Lil Red Riding Hood CHA-CHA
Galaxy Fraulien Yuna FX
Super Real Mahjong PV FX
Shanghai: The Great Wall
Tokimeki Card Paradise
Power Dolls FX (how much JP do I need to know to play this? Looks like Quovadis!)
Dragon Knight IV (because there's a FAQ for it)
Blue Breaker (ditto)
Team Innocent (ditto)
Last Imperial Prince (ditto)

And... I think thats it. I don't know Japanese very well, so I'm kind of alienated from most of the library. I'm just hoping some FAQs for Lil Red Riding Hood and Fire Woman show up in the near future, as those games look very fun!

Also, how much JP is needed for Raruli Ra Rura? It looks like a platformer from the movies... but I think it has a 2-rating on how much JP is needed...

Edit: Oh, and here's a slideshow I made of the new "addition to the family".
