@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Okay,

Nat, just sent you PM with my paypal - will be sending you DEAD MOON + GALAGA 90 for $40 shipped.

Nodtveidt, just sent you PM with my paypal too, and will be sending you the following for $15 shipped:

Victory Run
Blazing Lazers
China Warrior
Super Vollyball
Takin' It To the Hoop
Dragon's Curse (w/ slip)

I still have the following. And hopefully people notice I am selling stuff easy and cheap on the idea that people here are cool and enthusiasts and I'm not trying to make money.

Dragon Spirit (w/ case & manual & slip)
Final Lap Twin (w/ case & manual & slip)
Space Harrier (w/ case & manual & slip)

How about $40 shipped for all three anyone?

I don't think I was very clear.

The $12 is for all of the Hucards in the first list -

Victory Run
Blazing Lazers
China Warrior
Super Vollyball
Takin' It To the Hoop
Dragon's Curse (w/ slip)

It's cheap because I just want to get rid of them, don't want to throw them away, don't want to waste time with eBay, and I figure the people on this site are cool and enthusiasts and it'll go to someone who will actually play them.

The second list of stuff is available individually. If people want to make a bid for more than one than I'm much more likley to accept.

That said, Nat has dibs on Dead Moon now.

Thank you.

Just finished this game for the first time, even though I've owned it for 15 years or so. Was initially turned off by the horribly crap voice acting.

One thing interesting, I picked up a lottery ticket that was not explained in the walkthrough on gamefaqs. I wound up winning 50,000 gold I believe. Anyone know if there's a technique on when to check whether you've won or whether there's any variation?
QuoteIt's been a few years, but I think that you always win the lottery - just like in real life! :^o
QuoteIf I remember correctly, the longer you wait, I believe chapter-wise, the more(or less?) you win.

Hi, thanks a lot. Sorry for being ignorant about the maps. I swear I checked gamefaqs but now look - there they are.

I remember really wanting an RPG turbochip forever on the Turbo. Reading all those great reviews of great SNES and Genesis games. Zilch for TG16. I don't count Neutopia.

Even if it came late, way too late, am glad we finally got Order of the Griffin.

Can someone explain the implicit points behind many of these posts saying a converter is not necessary? A converter is used to use Japanese HuCards with US TurboGrafxs and Duos.

When someone says get a CoreGrafx instead, are they saying the CoreGrafx can already play both Jap Hucards and US turbochips without any conversion? I thought the reason we needed a converter for US consoles was to adjust the physical form factor, and that's it? Apparently not, since I also see references to region codes. does the Coregrafx then play both US and Jap regions while also dealing with the different physical form factors of both Jap Hucards and US turbochips?

And does the Duo-R also play both types of cards?

GameFaqs doesn't have a map.

I played through this game in the early 90s. I don't have a problem using maps the 2nd time around.

My favorite game of all time is Alternate Reality for the 8-bit Atari computers. So many nice memories mapping The City. But no way would I have the time to do again, nor enjoy the same way I did when I was a kid.

I'd like to be able to enjoy my old games without having to commit untold hours - this is a big disincentive. Would be such a great contribution to TG16 archives to have some decent maps for this.

Anyway, any help greatly appreciated!

Can someone help me with compatibility issues?

I have a TurboGrafx+CD+Arcade Pro card.

Is it possible for me to use this Arcade Pro card on a TurboDuo, even though it has more memory onboard than the Arcade Duo? What will happen if I plug it in? Is there possibility of physical damage?

Also, I just bought the Streetfighter II CE Hucard. I am comparing it to a TurboChip, and I see that the pin connections look exactly the same. It looks like I could simply stick it into my TurboDuo. Why is an adapter needed? Will physical damage result if I try to stick it in the Duo?

Thanks
