Got the games yesterday. Thanks!

Not that anyone knows who I am since I never post here, but I'll be at MGC and will at least stop in and say hi. I probably should have done that in previous years, but I usually end up hanging out with the people I know all weekend (Retroids/VGEvo room) and miss everything else.

Very cool, thanks! I'll be putting this to use.

Actually, I'm a beginner with it. It's one of those games I never got around to getting for the Turbo even though I'm a huge turn-based strategy fan. So far I'm loving the cell version of it. I haven't noticed much in the way of problems, but occasionally the AI did seem a little dim. I was wondering about the battle animation too since I didn't know if the original had any but it seems odd that everything just sits there.

Yeah, kinda, it's a little more whine than scratchy though. The LoT disc is the original. There's only 3 CD-R games I play in it and oddly those sound fine.

What's the best way to clean it? Q-tip and alcohol?

Thanks

I'm worried about my poor Duo. It's been making some high-pitched "tweating" sounds on some games when the CD accesses, most notably Lords of Thunder.

So is my Duo's CD drive dying? I've had no problems with dropped audio or increased access time, just the noises. I let the LoT intro sequence run for 3 hours and then played it and there was no problem at all except for the access noise. I'm not sure what else to do to test it.

I'd like to get it region modded, but if my CD-ROM is going to die soon, it wouldn't be worth it.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi all, I'm new here.
If you listened to the latest Team Fremont podcast, I'm special guest Savory Cade from Broadcast Gamer.

The Midwest Classic was 12 kinds of awesome! Many thanks to the organizers, sponsors and participants for making it a fantastic convention. I'm sorry I've never been to it before since I live so close, but I'll definitely be going back next year. Oh the money I plan to spend next time...

Being around all that classic gaming goodness has rekindled my interest and has me regretting selling so much of my collection over the past few years. I decided I'm going to start recollecting Turbo stuff since of all the systems I've had/have, I spent the least time with it. :(

Hey Turbo Sage, you've got one hell of a collection. I was drooling over your stuff for awhile at the show. Sorry I didn't have anything more to offer in trade than some NGPC stuff. [/url]
