@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

I'm kind of surprised you passed honestly.. It's ok if u don't have the $$ (like myself), but you made a sales thread looking for it lol. Like what kind of deal are you looking for?
At the time I created the thread I had no idea the game was going for $1000, i sort of naively thought I could buy it from someone for like a third of that.

I don't really know at this point how much I'd pay for it. I guess I'll wait for a next time! Happy that another site member managed to get it :)

Hope you got it Bock, if anyone deserves a good deal on something related to Wonder Boy it'd be him for his devotion to the series.

Quote from: guest on 06/15/2016, 08:32 PMThere aren't any credits in the ridiculously long septi-lingual manual.
Not to overly necro, but @CrackTiger:  Omar Cornut reached out to Nishizawa, who has no idea who did the SMS version of Monster World III.  Do you have any idea where you heard that the port was done by a Western dev?
I don't think that any Genesis-to-SMS ports were made in Japan.
Well, I have no hard data but by 1993 I think it would have been easier for Sega to find people willing to do a SMS port in Europe rather than in Japan?

No - I run smspower.org and I am the developer of the Dragon's Trap remake.

Quote from: TheClash603 on 09/02/2017, 02:26 PMBock - Just curious, was a physical version of the remake ever discussed for Switch?  Do they have the same high number of minimum orders?  I would've loved to have seen one.
We are working on it but it is taking forever and the manufacturing pipeline are full / hard to squeeze in.

Can't talk about quantity/details but our game on Switch sold much much better than XB1 (maybe x20) so physical Switch is an obvious thing to chase, however complex/costly it is

QuoteRegarding the game you are looking for, it seems like you are not a collectard and genuinely don't know about the price it goes for now. I picked mine up almost a decade ago and it was already too expensive, now it's just absurd.  Unless you get exceptionally lucky, a cheap price is gonna be tough.
Argh :(
Do you know how much it typically fetches when auctionned? (vs arbitrary Buy It Now price)

Quote from: guest on 09/02/2017, 11:14 AMthanks but I am only interested in physical copies of this game for xbox one
We are unable to release the game physical for XB1 because the minimum ordering quantity are way too high for the market we have, and XB1 is the platform where the game sold the least amount of copies making it unlikely to sell them at all.

Quote from: guest on 09/02/2017, 10:06 AMThere are a couple copies up on eBay right now.
The one on eBay are either fake/repro either 4-digit priced. Is that the price norm for this game? (If so, I am never going to buy it. waiting for a more decent offer).

I am looking for US Dynastic Hero to complete my Wonder Boy collection, so leaving that message out.
Looking for a price that isn't too crazy!

(E-mail omar AT miracleworld dot net.)
(In addition to cash I'd be happy to have a trade involving involving PS4 physical copies of 2017 Dragon's Trap if that something desirable for you, I directed that game and will have spare copies).
Yes I am in contact with Dixon and he invited Ken Cheung who was the artist at Hudson HK.
Dixon might be able to help to question him :D
Quote from: gilbert on 07/26/2017, 03:41 AMThis is confirmed from GDRI and apparently they developed Cotton too. That explains why Cotton appeared in that TV drama. Considering the (extremely) frequently appearance of Bomberman in the show it is quite possible that they are responsible for (co?)developing some of the Bomberman games too.
Just to confirm what you said (I should have written it in my original post): the guy explicitly told me he worked on Ninja Ryuukenden and Cotton. That's the only ones he mentioned but maybe he team-mates worked on more, or maybe he left before further games. Next time I see him I will try to clarify.

He also had pictures on his phone from some retro newspaper/magazine with him surrounded in boards and games.

Gilbert are you in Hong-Kong? Since I have made that connection and shared it with people who knew him but didn't know his Hudson past, I think he will come to RetroHK on Aug 10-13 and maybe there'll be a Q&A or something. Anyway if you are around it would be nice to ask him stuff. His English isn't so good and my Cantonese is non-existent.

I am Bock/Omar, this is my first post (recently put the Off the Wall dump online, I am also the developer of The Dragon's Trap remake).

I met a PC Engine era artist recently, who worked in Hong Kong, and he said he had some related software to send me soon. He says the tools are for DOS. I'll let you know what I have and if he is happy with me releasing them.
