12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

So instead of spending my weekend in Chicago for the Octurborfest like I originally planned, I'm in Savannah for a job interview.  Had the interview this morning and I feel pretty good about it.  I should know next week so I might be moving from Wichita, KS to Savannah.  I pretty much live in wichita most of my life since my family immigrated from Cambodia in 1983.  It would be sad because I would be leaving my family behind but at the same, I'm excited about my new surrounding and the endless opportunities here.  Anyway, we're spending the next few days scoping out the area.  I see that they have a retro gaming shop called PlanetFun in downtown.  I'm gonna check it out tomorrow.  Would be good to know if there are any turbobs around me if I move to Savannah.

I live in Fayetteville, NC, about a 4 hour dive north of you.  I was hoping to plan some sort of regional get together for this Fall (much like Octurbofest), but life has been going way too fast lately.  I can't believe Fall is already upon us!  Anyway, welcome to this neck of the woods.  At some point in the (hopefully) near future we'll have a gettogether in this area.

Wish i could go to turbofest but im in florida, still waiting for the southeast turbo post!

I used to live in Savannah, GA.  I went to Savannah College of Art and Design there.  It's been built up quite a bit since I've been there.  I don't remember there ever being a retro game shop in the downtown area.  That's nice there's one now.  Downtown Savannah has some cool spots.  I personally wouldn't hang around there at night.  Crime can be pretty bad in the downtown area even where it's nice.  That usually goes for anywhere though.  Tybie Island is also a nice beach area.  Great place to go on the weekend and is really close to Savannah.  I'm now in Wilmington, NC another nice historic city.  I hope you land the job.  Let us know how that game shop is.  I'm curious.

Thanks guys. I should know next week if I get the job or not. I checked on a few apartments already.

ROFLMAO, I'm certainly be down for a meet when I do live here.

Geise, planetfun is on 23 e broughton st. Pretty cool shop, lots toys, comic books and video games from the 80's and 90's. Kind of expensive. There was one lonely turbo items and its Wonderers from Ys. Price was $35. I asked him what's the lowest he would do on it. He said its been sitting here out for awhile and check if the prices went down. He checked and he said its actually going up, I saw he was checking eBay LOL. He said he's staying at $35 so I passed on it. Will post some picture later.

Thanks Chris. The last several weeks have been busy for me. Can't wait to finally get situated in our new apartment and start really putting some obey playtime in. Luckly I have my modded turbo express to quickly satify my turbo addiction:)

Just wanted to let you guys know that we made it ok to our apartment in Pooler, GA. Now the unpacking begins. I can't have an office unlike in our old place so I won't have the same gaming setup. I will only be able to have a few systems out in the living room, the rest are going to have to stay in the box.

I'm happy to help you out.  Send everything to me for safe storage.  I have only had 3 floods in my basement over the last year.  But only one was caused by septic.

Thanks for the offer galam, I'll keep it in mind;)
