I preordered it through GS, then preordered through Amazon as well just to make sure I actually get a copy.  If I wind up with an extra one it'll definitely be returned or for sale if my buddy doesn't want the extra copy.

So there will also be a first print run limited edition released for the same price at a normal retail copy. It seems like they are doing this because the collectors edition may be hard to get

Pre-ordered this at GameStop about 2 months ago. Got the Collector's Edition. Can't wait for this to come out, as I enjoyed Graces f and expect Xillia to be just as good if not better

Namco Bandai hates their fans and only wants to barely satisfy them like some kind of sadistic parents.  I had a feeling there would be a run on this after all that Ni no Kuni bullshit on the special edition.

As Amazon keeps expanding and going towards same day shipping they'll have more local offices.  I wouldn't be surprised if eventually they are collecting sales tax for all states.

I think it depends how Amazon releases their available stock and at what point in time. Or you could just wait until right before they ship. It usually goes back in stock due to payment errors on orders.

I wouldn't rely on the "notify when product is available" link, as I did that the first time, and didn't get any email, when it was back in stock.
