Hey guys, I figured Id share some of what I've been up to today until my Duo-R returns back to me from having some fine tuning done to it. I have an old Dynamo cab I gutted out 10 years ago and re wired it up myself to be compatible with pretty much any console that supports component and VGA signals. Lol having some Obey withdraws so I wired it up today in order for it to run my modded original Xbox that I soft modded back in 03. It seems to be running all my Obey CD games flawlessly through it's PCE emulator !! The video quality can definitely have some more fine tuning done to it but so far so good. I'm planning out a full restoration soon on that cab as it's been the most universal Arcade machine I've own to date. In the near future it will be also running my actual original Obey hardware on it once I component mod one of my consoles ...

Here are some pics of my cabs Gogan. The cab next to my emulator setup I'm in the process of restoring. It's a Neo Geo MVS 4-25 ver. 2 Big Red cab. The second cab is a Neo Geo MVS 2-19 Gold cab. And the third one is a Neo Geo MVS 2-25 Big Red cab.

Nice Neo cabs ya got there. I've always been partial to the goldies myself. Smaller profile and the way it is setup just catches the eye. I know a place close to me with 3 for sale, but all of them look like they were pulled out of a bar side dumpster.  :(

Sad, but I agree, the Goldie's are pretty unique looking. I'd grab one on the cheap and restore that mofo

The way these looked, you'd need all 3 to get a decent looking cab out of them. The place I sometimes visit doesn't have a website, just a facebook page. Got some pretty cool shit in there though.

Apologies for the thread derailment, back on topic.

I love using MAME to play arcade games, but never considered transforming an actual arcade cab into a MAME machine. Couldn't be too difficult, right? Seeing an Xbox as the brains of the cab is a sight.

You bastard! I'd love to live close to that place, hear his prices are very fair most the time too.

On topic, I have a modded xbox that I just might do something like this to...

Mishran, it was fairly simple to build. I for starters i gutted out the cab completely. Then I made a custom metal bracket In in order to mount a 20 inch View Sonic LCD screen in it. A simple stereo wiring job was done using an old school stereo receiver. For the controls I wired up some old Joysticks and left the ends with PS and  Xbox controller ports which pretty much makes it universal. And for the video signal I'm using a component to VGA converter box. I built this completely with no parts order from the Internet. Everything I used was old random gaming and household stuff. I'm pretty proud of this build as I did it before I had my own computer at home or had any form of internet to get ideas from.

The place  I mentioned get Street Fighter 2 cabs in quite often and sells them for under $200 a pop fully working with a good monitor. Perhaps I'll have to delve into it some more and get a nice MAME cab built. Got a good older XP PC that should work well for the project. If not, can't go wrong with some SF2 goodness.

Gogan, he has an occasional good deal to be had, but much of his stuff can be a little overpriced. Couple that with trying to get in there when someone is around. I've gone in several time over the past year during normal business hours and the place was closed. Rarely answer the phone either. Been there once during a return from picking up a haul. Came in with a box truck full of cabs. I think they said they had about 30 on the truck and it was a normal run for them. Love to know where they find them all.
