12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

I had a TG16 with Bonk and Keith Courage as a kid. I used make my dad drive me half an hour to the only video store that rented TG16 games. I pawned my original TG16 at 17 yrs old because I needed money and I had no idea how much I'd regret it. I bought myself another console recently at 34 yrs of age and can't wait to show my kid the system that brought me so much joy as a kid!

Anyway, I hope you all doing great!
Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.

I second this and wtf is wrong with us all lol. It took most of us to our early 30's before we came back to this! Crazy trend.

There seems to be a few common factors.

1. Reaching a point where we have a lil bit of mad money
2. Feeling like a grandpa when going to bars, and needing something to fill the void
3. Feeling old and wanting to revisit a passion from our youth
4. Having kids and being stuck at home more often than not
5. Modern games being all 3d trash
6. Everyone is copying me because I'm a trendsetter
7. Bailey Jay
Lol this list is sad but true except why you list your transgender girlfriend?

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Growing up, I was the only kid with a TG16. I had to explain what it was everytime I brought it up. I'm glad I found a place where I'll find people with the same childhood memories that I had.

Yeah I think you will find most here, at least those of us that owned the system as kids, share very similar experiences with it growing up.

I'm just glad my parents didn't throw mine out! I rediscovered mine about 18 months ago while cleaning out a closet and came across a box of stuff from my parents house. Well this box might have well been a huge treasure chest, because inside rested my TG16/CD, NES, SNES, N64, Atari 7800, and all the games for each. Woo hoo! Score! :D
