DUO Voice Samples Not Playing?

I noticed when I first tried Dracula X on my DUO, the voice channel wasn't playing. Such as on the title screen when you press start, you hear a creaking door opening. Or when you kill those skeletons or when death talks to you in stage 0. None of the samples played. However I tried again later and they were present. Now they are gone again. Anyone else have this problem?

The DUO has been on for alittle bit now, and the samples are back when I resetted seeing if having the Arcade DUO card inserted would make a difference. At first I thought it did, but then I turned off, removed the Card and restarted and the samples are playing. Some kind of warm up helps maybe. o.o Perhaps this is related to the bad caps that amp CD audio? Perhaps there is one for the Voice sample channel.

More than likely. Might not be the same caps though.

On my Turbo Express, the sound volume is very low at first then gradually gets louder as you use it. Im going to try to find the same surface mounted style caps that they use from the factory, and replace them all. The through-hole ones work for the Duos, but i wont be able to fit all of them in the express.

I had to turn off the DUO to go do something after the voices were back, and when I returned and turned it on ofcourse there were no voices again. And no amount of time being on seemed to help. Very frustrating. Esspecially for CV DX which uses that channel for many various sound effects.

I'm curious if D-Lite knows anything about this voice channel problem.

Yup. The same MottZilla pretty much everywhere. I haven't encountered anyone else using this handle. I don't recognize your handle off hand, do you use a different one at AGN?

Anyway, back to the DUO, I still haven't figured out what the deal is with the voices. It's not a warm up and work issue. It either works or it doesn't. It's never cut out during lpay, nor has it ever come on during play when it's not working.

Strange, yesterday I discovered that if I turn my DUO on, then quickly turn it off and back on, the voices work.
