I won't say it's an awesome game, but they don't know how to play it.  They're trying to play it as if it's something like Splatterhouse, but it's really more about rhythm and memorization.

OH GOD I DON'T HAVE TIME TO REACT MAYBE I SHOULD BACK UP AND STOP TRYING TO GO FASTER THAN THE AUTO SCROLLING ALLOWS FOR.

They also only mention the big-fist, which means they suck at the game, completely.

Anyone who dislikes China Warrior sucks at it, not because it's unfair, but because they're slow.

I agree with NecroPhile. you gotta play the game over and over to memorize the pattern of the enemies and hazards coming towards you. the boss fights can be a pain and they should have changed the music on the different levels but its a cool game overall.

That's something you learn with practice.  Only faqqots need help figuring out how to play such a simple game, and this review makes it sound like the guy used save states to brute force his way to the end, rather than taking the time to learn enemy patterns or to formulate attack strategies against bosses.

I never figured out the conditions that triggered GIANT FIST, FISTS OF FURY (exactly what it sounds like)...because it appeared to happen at random times for me (and not too often).

Old Rover figured it out and told me a long time ago, but, in typical fashion, I have forgotten again.

But, it doesn't matter, because I can beat the game by simply mega-maxing the life bar (at first the bars change colors to indicate the extra life you have stored, but you can keep building up many, many full bars of life before you reach the upper-limit).

I don't think China Warrior is a very good game, but it's certainly not a horrible game. Gameplay-wise I consider it "meh", but it is technically pretty impressive for the time. A kusoge should be horrid, not "meh".

Am I correct that Aaron (probably) requested that Google not crawl the forums (via robots.txt doc on server)? In the past, of course, we could search most of the forums via LeGoog, but the last few times I tried, I got NOTHING.

I always thought you had to have enough power to do the super fist and rapido puncho, and just kinda press forward + punchy after you get hit a couple times.  So,you basically just walk into their fists and then go HAOWHOAHEOHAOWHOAHOAwhwhoaoaooaooooo

I think it's just a consequence of having the forums only readable if you're signed in; Google can't crawl what it can't see.

Ah, you know what? I think Google was able to crawl the old-skool phone (text only, read-only) format that this forum used to generate...I guess that content was not locked behind a password system.
