Well, I'm pretty sure how he got it to dissapear - near the beginning, watch his hand very closely; when he's talking, he shifts it up and back a little, probably to transfer the ring to the cuff of his sleeve, which he then very carefully pulls back.

What I can't figure out is how he got the ring in the water
