12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

Is it possible to connect a Turbo Express to TV? or CRT? or Monitor? or any other screen?

mickcris

Turobokon offers the mod IIRC, but he is not taking on work right now:
but you could do it yourself or get someone else to do it for you maybe.

amazing!!! so IT IS possible!!! Thanks for the link.

It seems a bit more complicated mod compared to the Game Gear and GameBoy hookups. here is a link to the Game Gear to TV. Seems so much easier. http://www.smspower.org/forums/11931-ConnectYourGameGearToATV

CrackTiger

I recently got a GT with everything that "Ultimate" TE has, plus component out. I haven't been able to test the video output yet, but plan on shooting video of it when I do.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

its much simpler then the gamegear to tv mod
dont know the gameboy one

TurboGrafx

Renmauzo

I'm pretty new to the TE, and most of my exposure to one that's running have had the a/v mod. All this time, I had thought this was a stock feature of the unit  I love the idea of being able to bring something so compact to a friend's house for gaming.
On a side note, it's unfortunate that the NEC and TE logos are lost when doing the 3.5" LCD mod :/

SmokeMonster

I bought a TE that was modified by thesteve to have composite out along with a 2.5" LCD. I'm normally a composite-hater (nearly every console I own is outputting RGB), but the TE's composite video quality is actually excellent just like a TG16. It's perfectly acceptable when plugged in to a CRT.

The screen is really nice too, but I have plans to install a 3.5" LCD to match my Nomad :D

Alt-Nintega

this brings up the next question. Can TE endure and sustain long hours of gameplay when plugged into a monitor/tv/crt as well as the actual console? Are there overheating issues? Does this kill capacitors faster? What is the source of power for the TE, is it the same adaptor?

Thanks in advance for all your help guys. I'm really thinking to convert my TE into a TG-16 with a controller port that can take multiplayer with Turbo Tap, AV slots or Composite needle slot (both would be nice to have but beggars can't be choosers).

done right, no issues with heat, same adapter
