LaserActive Pac-N1 got white screen

Just got a pac-n1 but boot with white screen when bootup. Without hucard --> always white screen

With Hucard, sometimes white screen, sometimes blue, pink, etc... screen

Is it ram issue? If yes, can I replace HSRM20256LM with 65256BLFP ? ( or 62256 ? ) I always confused with 65256 with 62256.

Any other possible issue? I checked the trace carefully and No broken trace at all.

Have you replaced the capacitors yet?  Mine had some of the worst cap leakage I have ever seen.  Before I recapped it, it had some of the exact same problems you are describing with some games.  After the recap, it plays everything just fine.

I should add that I was getting the splash screen without hucard.  Regardless, it needs a recap.  Mine was in good knick on the outside and a leaking train wreck when I opened it up

yes, I did recap but still white screen

replaced those ram(fro spare part) but still No luck. If I replace those HuC62X0 chip, which one I should try first?

The problem is huc6280, once replaced, everything works fine. Thanks thesteve for the hint!!!! He is hero
