Hi,

I recently got a PCE + IFU ( also a defective CD-ROM² ).

I've already disassembled the PCE and cleaned it, so now its white again, but I'm having trouble taking apart the IFU.

I cannot find any guide or video that could help and I also did not see a guide in the repair section ( https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?board=19.0 )

I've removed all the screws of the IFU base, but when I try to lift or tilt away the back panel (where the audio/video & power connectors are housed) there is a obstruction.
I don't want to use any force and break something off. ^^
Can someone help?

Nvm. I found the issue. One of the Eject button/lever noses was the culprit.

CrackTiger

There is a section of the forum dedicated to this kind of stuff if you're looking for info on working on hardware in the future:

Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!
