Well... As you may have seen from my mass postings tonight I've been on the grown up pop....

I have also just won a broken PC engine CD ROM from Japan for $49....

Booze = debt = bad times...

Firstly... Promise me I can fix it....

Secondly... Bad eBay mistakes??? Cheer me up!!! Ta peeps!

P.S. apologies if I've ruined any perfectly good thread with my booze filled rantings... I'm off to try to find a PC engine /CD ROM interface thingy for a price I an afford... Dammit... Should have just stuck with the duo....

Well $50 bucks is pretty standard for a non working cdrom2. However, chances are you can't fix it. So go ahead and send it to Keith Courage.

I had an original tg16 CD unit that I punched in a rage as a teen lol I bought a PCE junk one from hitjapan for $45 shipped I think. Sent them both to KC, and it works flawlessly now.


Also, I too love the drunk buying sprees. EBay and alcohol is a bitch.

No. Don't listen to folks. Briefcase is awesome.

If you get a TED (TurboGrafx EverDrive), you don't have to actually purchase System Card 1...

OR: If you don't want to get TED or Card 1 now, just have fun playing all the AWESOME games available.

You can always worry about stuff later.

There are PLENTY of great HuCARD and CD games to play NOW.

The IFU is the main hardware addition of the CD-ROM games, just like everything the FDS adds is in the ram cart adaptor.

I've done some alcohol induced purchasing before (I think there is actually another thread about this), I got bad for awhile but have been much better in the last couple years since I'm normally just drunk gaming instead

I got a system card 3.0 for what I think is a reasonable price ( £30 delivered)

My games have now turned up!!!

Im just waiting for the rgb chip and the actual hardware now!!!
