TURBO EXPRESS - LOW SOUND!!?! HELP !!

I have a turbo express, its brand new but the sound is low, i also have a pc engine gt which has the same problem, does anyone know how this can be fixed?? who can fix it ? is this a common fault (i think it must be)??please let me know any infoasap.

Hi,

This isn't a super-active board, so don't expect instant replies.

Anyway, the problem you are experiencing is not common - I've not had this problem with my TE at all.  Maybe you just got a few bad TE/GT's....could be the speaker or the volume control...I'd try different games and batteries just to make sure too.

hmmm, i have spoken to several people who are selling on ebay, all of which have this 'low sound ' problem. i think it may be similar to what is happening to the sega gamegear, where  certain componants simply dont last after time.  anyway i will try whay you said,  cheers,  steve.

I've got the same problem,

I've tried checking the internal resistances along the path from the variable resistor volume control to the speaker and I can't find any problems.  

I guess it must be coming from a loose connection or something, or a blown component, it's probably a common problem but it's still a pain in the ass.

I wish I had a working unit with which to compare.

Has anyone had any solutions for this problem? I just got in a TE(brand new) that had low sound. Pretty screwy it did that being right out of the box. Also, the headphone jack doesn't work quite right. If all the way in, only the right speaker(headphone) gets audio. You have to pull it a bit out for L and R audio, kinda sucks.
