Tennokoe Bank - how to format??

I just picked up a "Tennokoe Bank" (extra memory card) for my Duo, but I can't figure out how to format the thing.  I don't want to accidentally format my Duo memory, so if anyone knows how to do this, I would appreciate the info. http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">
