2/13/2025: Localization News - Cosmic Fantasy 3-4!

Rather earth-shattering news in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 community: Cosmic Fantasy 3 & 4 has been officially localized to English by Edia 30 years later for the Switch! Hard to believe! I know their script quality is poor given the 1&2 port but still good to see.

Back in the day, (1995) my friend had this rather mediocre adventure game with some voice acting when you entered shops...  The voice work was friggin hilarious...but the one line that would kill us every time was, "I HAVE COME TO BUY A WEAPON."

Now I don't know about you guys, but this would cause us to split our sides and roll on the floor with laughter.

I think it was either Shape Shifter or Shadow of the Beast or something like that...

I want this game so we can gather around and play it and bring back the good times so any help would be great!

Sounds like Shape Shifter. ALthough I never got such a kick out of the voice acting.

Thanks that does sound like it, and I don't blame you.. it was awful which is why we probably love it so much.

Gotta be Shape Shifter, as nat said. The voice acting was certainly cheesy in that game, but I never really played it with anyone else to truly laugh at it. Sounds like good times.

I believe that that is the dialogue from your first visit to the first weapon shop in Shapeshifter. If you found that hilarious, you should play through the rest of the game.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!
