Desperately need assistance with turbo grafx cd....

I need some help from someone with a non-working turbo CD, or from someone who isn't afraid to take theirs apart a littie.  Mine has quit working, and when I opened it to try and fix it I found a wire disconnected.  What I need is to know where the disconnected end of that wire goes.  It is a short black wire located near the volume control; the end that is still attached is labeled "#8".  Someone please help!!!
