12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

I have a run of pcbs coming in for the LM1881. They where designed mainly for doing CMVS and Jamma Genesis, but should be small enough to fit in the end of a scart cable. They are 20mm X 13mm x 4mm.

So....I am looking for someone who wouldn't mind testing it out in a scart cable and sharing a few pics and their results.

USA only please :)

Bust I would be happy to test one, i have 2 monitors that need LM1881's to work and have installed them before

I could test one on the GBS8200, but not Scart. I hate Scart. Fuck scart. I hope Scart dies of cancer.

Thanks guys....I should have them out in about 10 days.

Tested, and the verdict is... good stuff... mostly because it's so small, it's really tiny.

Not much difference between the monitors and TV's I tried, if any visible at all,
but that's also a good thing... as it's for mon/tvs having trouble with Composite Sync.

There is a slight color difference on sand colors (bleak yellow/light brown) when switching between
the built-in sync and composite and just a fragment of difference of that when using the sync cleaner, probably just because the Composites higher video voltage slips threw somewhere, other colors seems unaffected, and I'v tried filming it and taking a photo of it but the difference is just to small for the CCD to catch any of it.

Been checking some more.

The standard sync outputs around 0.8v while with the LM1881 outputs nearly 5v

The boards are also very good soldered and the flux has been removed, top quality.
