other games referenced in....other games!

So I was playin a lil World Class Baseball last night, as the Paris Fries. I went to make a substitution, and lo-and-behold, who's on the sub list? None other than the tattered-loin cloth wearin' badass Gogan!!

Whether this was coincidence or not, it got me thinkin...what games are out there that have references to other games in them? (Turbob/pce of course)

Obvious or not.

I know there's the likes of star parodier and such, so I thought it'd be cool for everyone to post here when they catch a game referencing another game in the library. Go!

Also noticed in Super Volleyball, the wall behind the court says, Rabio Lepus.

Don't ask why I was playing Super Volleyball.

When I "finished" a game of Pia Carrot on PC-FX, one of the end game slides had a Sega Saturn advertisement in it.

On a side note.... isn't that game supposed to be a pron game? I must really suck cuz I didn't see any pron

It sure does, there is a town that has signs posted on a fence announcing Cosmic Fantasy 3 coming soon. Unfortunately as we all know that didn't happen in the U.S.

I wonder if that was Working Designs or done in the original Japanese version.

New Adventure Island has a Super Mario reference. I believe it's in a level that has the Super Mario Worldish bg. The music at one point gets slightly into the original Super Mario tune.

The Sega CD Snatcher has a bunch of Konami characters in the "Outer Heaven" club including Dracula and Simon Belmont. I think also the guy from Hudson's Adventure Island and the Contra Bros. The PC Engine version had anime characters I believe that weren't as known in the U.S. I thought Dracula might have still been in it, anyone confirm?

And then there is your sidekick Metal Gear, and the son of Dr. Madnar from the metal gear series. And I guess Big Boss was the first Snatcher? lol

I'm pretty sure it's atleast in level 4-3. I've been looking thru video's but didn't find a decent one. The level starts at 8:25 in this video, but, this video plays slow, unless it's just my PC?? I'd say at about 8:45 is when you can clearly hear the original SMB tune.

Yes. In the first town when you're playing as Babette, the fliers on the walls all mention Cosmic Fantasy 3 on Super CD. The posters change later when the impostors plan a town meeting, and then change again after the impostors are defeated.

On that note, Exile 2 reference's both Cosmic Fantasy 3 & Exile 3. Near the Spire or whatever of the Death God, in some tree's, there's a character(much like the one in Exile 1 that reference's Exile 2: The Revenge, though that was Yuko in that) that talks about seeing you again in Exile 3, & that they are off to hear Nayam sing in Cosmic Fantasy 3...or something like that.

I've never found either of these... where are they? Like... specifically?
