"Aldynes" High Scores

A bit of competition helps a lot when you've got a game this tough.

There's only one game mode, and the score resets when you continue, so no need to make rules there. Press start at the title screen, and post the highest score you can get.

I'm coming for ya.

I just made it to stage 7 for the first time and got really far in it on my very first try! It's not that tough, or so it seems...

How hard is the 2nd loop? What changes? Is it just enemy firing-rate/bullet-speed, or are there new enemies/different patterns? What about the bosses?

Faster ennemies, ennemies that shoot when didn't in loop 1, new ennemies, etc...

Hey, I've only got 9 seconds between that last hit and the game-over screen. You'll have to trust me.  O:)

Anyway, so the enemies themselves move faster? Damn, that sounds like a pain in the ass. How about the bosses?

They shoot more. For instance, stage 1 boss orange shots are faster and they change direction twice, while little ennemies arrive anytime and shoot at you.

OK, final question for the world champion: Difficulty aside, are any of the bosses in the 2nd loop (or at the end of the first) infinitely milkable? I really hope not. Nothing ruins going for high scores like an infinite point ceiling.

No milkable boss in this loop.

PS: You don't mean to imply that there are infinitely milkable bosses in later loops, do you!?

There's no milkable at all, even in the later loops.

As I played Aldynes yesterday, there's actually one milkable boss. But you can milk him even in the first loop. I never thought of milking in that game, I'd rather one-life it and don't waste my time. Anyway there's no point milking the boss I'm talking about as you only get 200 points every 2 seconds.

That's too bad. Is it the stage 6 boss with those spidery-things? I'm only starting to get familiar with that boss.

If the bosses never time-out...then I guess that's all there is to say about that.

Yes, it's that boss. It makes no sense at all to milk him as it would take hours to even make it worthwile.

I took a break for a while, but coming back tonight, I was not only able to get a new high score, but also make it all the way to stage 7 without dying. That's a first for me.
