Hi,

I just received my PCFX last night.  It came with Battle Heat and Team Innocent.  I also had two demo disks that came with those Super PCEngine magazines (I have volumes 1 and 2).

While playing the FMV intros of Battle Heat and Team Innocent, the audio would occasionally cut off, but the video more or less kept playing uninterrupted.

The system also had a bit of difficulty reading both demo disks at first, but then it seemed fine.  On one of the demo disks, there's a Yuna demo, and while some of the FMV sequences were playing there seemed to be issues were the audio was completly mangled (loud white noise) and at one point the audio seemed to be out of sync with the video?)

Any recommendations?

The only game where I encountered similar problems was Zeroigar. This game in particular seems to be quite flaky/faulty when it comes to load and display FMV sequences. Now I have two copies of that game and both don't work 100%.
In your case I would say it's the CD-Rom drive of your FX. Try to clean the lens very carefully. Otherwise try to look into the TurboGrafx/PCEngine discussions and search similar threads concerning load problems. I think the  reason is the old hardware.

Hello td741, and welcome to the pcengine-fx.com forums.

One thing you can try is to lay your PC-FX on its side.  Little Red Riding Hood CHA-CHA FMV skips on my unit, but once I lay the unit on its side, the FMV starts to play smoothly.

Other than that, make sure your skipping PC-FX games are dirt/dust free (clean with a CD cleaner, or a lint-free cloth.  Don't use a T-Shirt, paper towels, napkins or a kleenex!)

Let me know if that works for you.
