Hey guys
I figured I would start a thread and introduce myself. My name is Andrew, I'm lilgrafx older brother. I don't have a turbografx, but love playing Matt's Games. I primarily collect for the SNES, because that's the system I had in elementary school and I also think it has the best games (please don't hate me). After browsing around the site and hearing from my little brother, I must say, this community is awesome because:

1). You guys give each other awesome deals. This truly is a unique and tight knit community. I don't think there is one forum out there as cool as yours. In almost every other forum, members ask full retail prices for all their games and expect other members to haggle. If their games don't sell, they go to ebay. You guys really go out of your way to keep the prices fair, and give other members good deals. Hell, the amount of stuff I've seen for free on this site is outrageous.

2). I love how you all focus on actually playing the games. I think a lot of people get caught up with the collecting aspect of video games. Take a look at nintendoage and you'll see hundreds of people with every NES game boxed. Then look at their posts and they Never talk about the games they play - only buying, selling and trading like their games are some sort of stock. There's also a sealed game or VGA thread.. I'm not going to get started on that sickness. While I admit that I like boxes and manuals, the primary focus for me is on enjoying the games. I think you all do that extremely well and I respect this community for it.

3). You guys have hooked Matt up with some great deals. He's 15 with no job and as poor as ill get out. He saves his allowance and blows every penny on turbo stuff. I can't tell you how many times hes skipped going to the movies with friends so he can save his money for games.

4). Lastly, I think it's hilarious how you guys run Resellers and Ebay gougers out of town. I have never seen a community stand up and say "Fuck you, get out of our forum". I picture you all carrying pitchforks and flaming torches to get the outcasts out of town. It's great - keep doing, I really enjoy reading those threads.

So anyways sorry for the ramble. I figured I would post here considering I may be randomly about and don't want you guys to think I'm a total stranger. Also is there a way we can censor lilgrafx posts? He's only 15 and does not need to be dropping F bombs like crazy

No chance. But if he's 15, he -should- know when it's appropriate and when it's not.
You might want to make sure he has read the forum rules, however. Especially the one about profanity.

Thanks for the Welcome guys. I was teasing Matt about the censor thing. I had the dirtiest mouth in the world when I was 15 and still do.. I shouldn't be so hypocritical.

I remember clearly when I started swearing heavily in 6th grade. That's what... 11? 12 years old?

It's a habit I never broke, and it sometimes gets me into trouble in mixed company and around people's kids.

There is room in my dusty, old heart for SNES and SuperFamicom. I will never understand the folks who rag on SNES. It has tons of great games.

Wild Guns is a game that I never knew about back in the day (mid-90's) but have discovered in the last few years. I love finding stuff like that!

For sure we've played Orydyne and Dungeon Explorer together still gotta get him to play some others.

You know, when you think of good to bad ratios, the turbo may be the best console. I can randomly select a game from Lilgrafx's list and be pleased.

Honestly I have no idea what possessed Matt to buy a turbo. I had never even heard of it before Matt began this one month obsession to find a turbo. It's like he had a vision in a dream or something.

Yeah I guess 23 is pretty young compared to most of the guys on this forum. And Wildguns is one of the best hidden gyms of the system.
