Rainbow Islands is haaaard

So I was playing it yesterday, and with 5 lives and no continues, it's super damn hard. I started out just playing through normally and got stomped by the first boss, then tried playing through getting the gems in order - I got up to green :/

Is there some kind of option for continues, or do I just have to suck it up?

It is rainbow islands, I am thinking your starting to see the later, levels. Like the machine hammer head things that chase you around for example. The enemies respond to how close you are to them, and things like that. You could either, score attack, or plow threw the stage as with Kid Icarus. The Bosses, are bosses.

Sell the game to me and I'll tell you if I fare any better.

I beat the NES version and I have only played the PCE version a couple of times but I seem to recall it being easier. It's been a while...I might have to replay it now.

Will have to play through this again, don't recall it being particularly tough apart from the last couple of levels.

Yeah I agree, it is hard, too bad there isn't a 2 player simultaneously in this game..

Yeah no continues is pretty rough considering how many levels there are. It would be nice if there was a code for continues!

I thought this game was easy like a drunk slut at an underaged drinking party.

Then again, I played it alot on NES and shit too.

Plus, im a homo, so flinging rainbows comes naturally to me.

Yup. The folks who are saying it is easy are not getting close to the end, let alone beat it. No way.

I've been playing the arcade version on PS1 collection. One little mistake and DOH!

I'm assuming the PCE version isn't far off...'

Quit crying lion, or go back to your Mortal Kombat. Rainbow Islands is a real mans game, who else could have snatch like that, and not be named bub or bob, and weild rainbow umberellas at Giant bee spiders, and mad robot heads.
